Victory Wrestling Episode 006.
OPENING SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "Welcome to the sold out Victory Arena, we are live here tonight for Episode 006! Brad Tate at ringside, alongside Charlotte Wilson and The Shark, ready to call the action."
Charlotte Wilson: "Guys, I am very excited for tonight."
'The Shark': "Let's get going!"
ONE-ON-ONE
Leon Black vs Nate Krelle
Leon Black vs Nate Krelle
Krelle came in fast and hard, countering everything Black tried to unload. The action hit a fever pitch when Krelle came in with a high springboard dropkick, and then chained it with a missile dropkick to send Black to the floor. He followed that with a crazy suicide dive that earned massive pops from the crowd and then rolled through to drag Black back up.
Back in the ring, Krelle nailed a high crossbody and then spun into a DDT for a near-fall. Black got the shoulder up in time but Krelle transitioned to an inverted figure four, keeping control and forcing Black to struggle to the ropes for a break. Black missed a corner charge and ran into a superkick, Krelle then hit Lock 'n' Load for a two count and the crowd went nuts as Black kicked out. They worked back and forth as Krelle countered a German suplex, but then Black caught him with a snap suplex out of nowhere! Krelle kicked out, nailed a European uppercut that staggered Black and then took him out with The Highway To Krelle to pick up a hard-fought victory.
Victor: Nate Krelle via pinfall.
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "Nate will be happy with that one."
Charlotte Wilson: "Now, next we have the first match of what has been dubbed the Victory League."
'The Shark': "This is a four person, miniature league. Each competitor will face each other once, the competitor with the most wins will then earn an as-yet-unnamed prize."
Brad Tate: "And our first two competitors? April Sixx and Mr Hyde!"
ONE-ON-ONE
Match One of Victory League
April Sixx vs Mr Hyde
Hyde dropkicked the knee and tried to take control right at the bell. April put up some resistance, but Hyde started to work over the knee before April turned the tables and started to attack his arm, forcing a break. April was slowed by the knee, allowing Hyde to hit a series of strikes that she fought off easily enough. April answered back with a northern lights suplex for the near fall and might have gotten the pin if not for the knee damage. April headed up top after a skirmish, looking for Air Nakamura on the downed Hyde but she missed.
Hyde went up and missed a knee drop of his own, taking the landing awkwardly. April caught him in an armbar and Hyde fought free, only to get a knee driven into the shoulder for his trouble. April landed the running kick, Hyde fired back with one and then April locked him into a double arm bar, grapevining the legs. Hyde tapped out quickly, looking to be in far more pain than the move really warranted and after the bell rang, medical staff headed out to ringside.
Victor: April Sixx via submission.
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "A vital win there for April, which sees her go into the lead of the Victory League!"
Charlotte Wilson: "Indeed, and means Hyde will have to work doubly hard in future shows."
'The Shark': "Next up is the second Victory League match, Anderson and Lawless."
Brad Tate: "Let's see which of those ladies will join April and take home a victory here today."
ONE-ON-ONE
Match Two of Victory League
Victoria Lawless vs Katie Anderson
The match began with both girls locking up, with Victoria overpowering Katie and dragging her down with a side headlock. Katie transitioned into a headscissor, forcing Victoria to roll free. She stood, grabbing Katie's leg, but took a heel to the chest for her trouble. Katie stood and took Victoria down with a clothesline. As Victoria stood again, she ducked a second clothesline, blasting her with a dropkick as she rebounded.
Victoria took control, concentrating on Katie's knee and stomping down hard several times. She looked for her Anarchy's Cradle in an attempt to end things early, but Katie managed to wriggle free. She stood, testing the knee for a moment before she ran at Victoria, taking her down with a running bulldog. Both girls stood and Katie looked for her ATL slam, but Victoria held the ropes and broke free. She kicked Katie in the gut and landed a scissor kick on the back of her neck, driving Katie face down to the mat.
Victoria moved to the turnbuckle and Katie had already gotten up. Anderson moved to intercept her opponent, launching her with a superplex. Without a moment of hesitation, Katie climbed the turnbuckle herself, diving backward with her Falling Peach Blossom. She hooked the leg and picked up the three count.
Victor: Katie Anderson (pin fall)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "And Katie wins it!"
Charlotte Wilson: "Victoria will be disappointed, but at the end of the day Katie took her chance when it presented itself."
'The Shark': "Lawless will bounce back, I have no doubts, but this gives Anderson a good start in the Victory League."
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
The petite redheaded Summer was seen hustling down the hall, already in her ring gear, very obviously looking for someone or something as she poked her head in each of the open doors before she stopped dead in her tracks, waving enthusiastically.
Summer: “MAGGIE! OHEMGEE HEYYYYYY!”
The view panned around to show Magdalena Lockheart heading in Summer’s direction. The tattoo artist looked determined, nodding at Kasey’s enthusiastic greeting.
Magdalena Lockheart: “Hey Summer -- I’ve been looking all over the place for Vortex. Have you seen him or talked to him at all yet?”
Summer: “No, silly! I was waiting for you. I thought it would be better if we went in there like a united front because power in numbers and stuff? But I did talk to someone else and I kinda know someone who really wants a match so… yay for networking! There’s no way he can say no because this is gonna be like… genius!”
Maggie cocked a brow at Kasey’s vague assertion but didn’t question it.
Summer: “C’mon! He’s in the office at the end of the hall and if we hurry we can catch him. I mean, I dunno how good a mood he’s gonna be in because I overheard Mia talking to someone on the phone and she said he broke up with his girlfriend so...”
She shrugged, tugging on Maggie’s arm.
Magdalena: “Who broke up with his girlfriend? Vortex… broke up with Evie?”
Mags stood with her hands on her hips. She looked confused and upset because she knew from talking with Evie over social media how much Evie loved that Vortex guy.
Summer: “I think so. I mean, that’s what I heard anyhow. And it’s really… like maybe not my business but he might be a shitty mood because of that so that’s why I need you. People like you more than me.”
Magdalena: “Oh stop it. Are you being serious right now? Come on. Look at me. People only like me because they don’t know me yet. Give me a couple of weeks around here and I’m sure my popularity will drop all the way down to nothing. But hey, I never let that kind of stuff bother me anyway. What’s bothering me is this debut. If I can help it, I’d rather face anyone else… you know what I’m sayin?”
Summer: “Boy, do I ever!”
Before the pair could get into a further debate, Vortex walked out of the office at the end of the hall, heading in their direction. Kasey nudged Mags, stage-whispering.
Summer: “Oh shit. He looks angry.”
On the heels of that, she lifts her hand, waving enthusiastically.
Summer: “Uhm, hey bossman! Can we like, talk to you for a second?”
Magdalena: “It’s uhm, really not a big deal or anything. We just… uhh… have a question for you.”
Vortex: "Okay?"
Summer: "We...don't really want to face each other."
Vortex paused, frowning, but then eventually nodded.
Vortex: "I know. And, actually, I had an idea about that..."
TRIPLE THREAT
Sean Callaghan vs Argyle vs Bubblegum
The show came back to see Sean, Argyle and Bubblegum already in the ring. As the bell rang Argyle struck quickly catching Sean off guard with a Tiger Suplex which sent him down to the mat. Argyle picked Sean back up to his feet but missed a DDT as Bubblegum hit him in the back with a Dropkick. Sean capitalised sending Bubblegum to join Argyle on the mat with a Diving Headbutt.
Sean backed Argyle into the corner with a quick flurry of chops and punches without giving him a second to respond.. Argyle struggled in vain to free himself from his position trapped in the corner but relief did not come until the Bubblegum rushed in and sent Sean tumbling with Monkey Flip.
Bubblegum attempted a cover on the downed Sean, but he only got a two count before Sean kicked out. At that point Argyle was back in the fight, pulling Bubblegum up off of the mat.
Bubblegum and Argyle traded a flurry of rights and lefts until Sean got in between them and managed to get the upperhand and connected a well executed Spinebuster to Argyle, before turning his attention back to Bubblegum. Before Bubblegum even knew what had hit him, Sean delivered his Beantown Strike which lead to him gaining the three count.
Victor: Sean Callaghan (Pinfall)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "Impressive stuff from Sean right there."
Charlotte Wilson: "Indeed, beating not one, but two people here on his debut."
'The Shark': "Hopefully it's a sign of more to come from the young man."
Brad Tate: "And I'm hearing at this next match will now see Summer and Magdelena team up together rather than face each other!"
Charlotte Wilson: "Wow, I'm surprised they managed to get Vortex to change his mind. Surprised, but happy!"
ONE-ON-ONE
Summer & Magdelena Lockheart vs The Ring Crew (Enigma & Pyro)
The match began with Summer and Enigma in the ring. In the early going, the far larger Enigma controlled the pace of the match, keeping Summer in his team's corner. He tagged Pyro in, with Pyro attempting a pin - which Summer kicked out of at one.
Both stood, with Summer scoring a dropkick. She tried for her corner but Pyro grabbed her ankle, scoring a DDT which brought her back to the mat. Pyro worked Summer over with stomps and punches, but she refused to stay down. She managed to reverse his superkick attempt, scoring her Heat Stroke suplex, but was unable to make the cover. As both competitors crawled to their respective corners, it was Pyro who tagged first, bringing Enigma in. Summer dived, managing the tag with Magdelena.
Maggie was quickly on the offensive, flattening Enigma with a spinning heel kick. As he stood, she landed a forearm shiv, and then a spinning backhand. Pyro got into the ring, but Summer intercepted him with her SF2 Turbo. As Enigma stood, Maggie weighed him up, before connecting with her Blank space, seemingly knocking him out cold. She made the cover, whilst Summer rolled Pyro from the ring, and scored the three count.
Victors: Summer and Magdelena Lockheart (pin fall)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "Summer and Magdelena win!"
Charlotte Wilson: "Yessss, an awesome win for the girls there. Vortex was right to pair them together instead of against each other."
'The Shark': "Seems so. Their opponents will probably disagree, but that's how it goes."
ONE-ON-ONE
Non-Title
Helena Noir vs Chris Mosh
As Helena stood, she grabbed his leg, twisting Chris with a stretch muffler, but "The Party Boy" refused to submit and eventually managed to roll free, kicking Helena off. He stood but she was already back onto the attack, with Helena catching him with a roundhouse kick that sent him backward into the corner. She charged, landing a corner dropkick hard into Chris' chest. As he stood, she waited, pouncing with her Fondu Au Noir, squeezing Chris' neck with the guillotine choke, until he was eventually forced to submit.
Victor: Helena Noir (submission)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "Helena wins!"
Charlotte Wilson: "The Heritage Champ has proven, again, why she is the one who holds that title."
'The Shark': "I expected more from Mosh, but that's how it goes sometimes."
Brad Tate: "Now, next up we have our Victory Champion in action."
Charlotte Wilson: "A non-title match, against newcomer Jack Bilson."
'The Shark': "And my money is, obviously, on Petrova."
ONE-ON-ONE
Non-Title
Kitty Petrova vs Jack Bilson
Bilson started off looking to shake hands, his eyes on the championship belt for just a split second as it was handed off. Kitty responded with a vicious eye rake and a reverse Russian legsweep into a mudhole stomping that had the crowd getting heated. She stood over Bilson, talking trash to the crowd’s disapproval. Bilson let Kitty pull him up and then nailed her with a stunning lariat that almost took her head off, getting a roar from the crowd. He failed to follow up as he turned to bask in the approval as Kitty kicked out the back of his knees, catching him into a chicken wing.
Bilson caught the ropes for a break and Kitty kept the crossface hold on, refusing to break until threatened with having the contest thrown out, getting more heat from the crowd. She made a huge, exaggerated show of backing off, inspecting her nails while Bilson struggled up. He charged and she let him come in with another lariat attempt before catching the arm, taking him over with a judo toss. Laughing, she choked him against the ropes until earning another warning and then went right back to alternating kicks and strikes, working through a series of surprising counters before Kitty nailed a low blow. Bilson staggered back and she finished him off with the Kiss of Death before resting a foot on his chest and yawning, going for the lazy pinfall that gets more deafening heat from the crowd.
Victor: Kitty Petrova via pinfall.
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "Well that was...academic."
Charlotte Wilson: "Indeed, our champion showed her true capability there."
'The Shark': "And Bilson proved he's nowhere near her level."
Brad Tate: "Speaking of our champion, the man who she pinned to take the title is in action next. We've got Aiden Morrow versus both Jesse James and Jonathan Cage."
Charlotte Wilson: "Aiden has the heart of a fighter, but that 2v1 advantage may very well be the deciding factor..."
2V1 HANDICAP MATCH
Jonathan Cage and Jesse James vs Aiden Morrow
The match began with Cage in the ring. He circled Morrow, trying to persuade Aiden to turn his back on James, but Aiden stood his ground. The two locked up, with Aiden grounding Cage in a headlock. He worked Cage over with various strikes from the ground position, eventually breaking the hold, standing, and then stomping down onto his lower leg and the back of his knee.
On the apron, Jesse James yelled at his opponent. Aiden ran over and knocked him down to the mats with a stiff forearm. Cage caught Aiden from behind with a quick roll up, but Aiden rolled straight through and caught Cage with a dragon legscrew whip as he stood. Jesse James rushed in, only to meet Aiden's boot at the end of a superkick.
Cage stood again and received a sitout jawbreaker. Aiden moved to the apron and pulled on the ropes, leaping up and springboarding off, his Flying Morrow Smash catching Jesse James and sending him to the outside. Aiden turned back to Cage, stalking him, and kicked him in the gut. He pulled Cage in and landed his NO FLX ZONE. Morrow hooked the leg, scoring the three!
Victor: Aiden Morrow
After the match Vortex walked out, sarcastically clapping. He and Aiden stared each other down as the show went off air.
