Sean made his official wrestling debut over in F’n Awesome Wrestling when he attacked Gabriel Laroux and helped Paz win her match. Afterwards, Paz, Sean and Sean’s brother, Liam, were all booked in handicapped matches. This caused the trio to shoot off at the mouth on Twitter and Viv, Sean’s girlfriend and Paz’s best friend, didn’t appreciate it. This caused Sean and Viv to argue over Twitter until he decided to meet her at her house to talk it out.
Eventually Sean walks through the door of Viv's place, obviously comfortable enough to just let himself in now. He's wearing black jeans and a black leather jacket over his white T. Viv sits out the back, despite the cool weather, dressed in an oversized hoodie on top of some black and grey tights, flicking through her phone, she glances up at Sean and slides her phone into her pocket. Sean takes a seat next to her and sighs while looking into her eyes.
Sean Callaghan: "Hey."
She arches a brow at him before turning her head to look out across the yard.
Viv Jimenez "Hi."
He sighs.
Sean Callaghan: "I thought you wanted to talk. Kind of hard to do if you won't look at me and tell me what's up?"
Viv Jimenez "I don't need to look at you to talk to you."
She leans her head back and closes her eyes, clearly frustrated.
Viv Jimenez "Acting like a bitch and not antagonizing two bloodthirsty morons who are going to beat on your brother collectively... not the same thing..."
He stands up, clearly angry that she just called him a bitch.
Sean Callaghan: "Watch your fucking mouth, Viv. I'm no goddamned bitch and you should know by now that I PROTECT MY OWN. I've been here for you, I protected your brother when all that shit went down and last night? Last night I saved Paz. What more do I need to do to prove to you that I won't let anything happen?"
She glares at him.
Viv Jimenez "I didn't call you a bitch but right now you're being a fucking asshole, if you're going to raise your voice at me then you can go back out the way you came!"
She stands up and gets in his face, if she was taller they'd be nose to nose as she growls out her words.
Viv Jimenez "I said there's a fucking difference, the first is what YOU said I wanted, WRONG!"
She starts to yell herself now.
Viv Jimenez "The second is the idiotic shit you ARE PULLING!!"
He scoffs and retorts back.
Sean Callaghan: "How do you know it's idiotic when you don't even understand the sport? So maybe you should just sit back and watch instead of jumping into the mess and trying to lecture all of us. We're not going to sit back and shut up, alright!? Fuck that!"
She shoves her hands into his chest, catching him by surprise and forcing him back a couple of steps.
Viv Jimenez "Fuck off then, go on! Go be the big clever pendejo, I won't be sitting, watching OR waiting!"
She shakes her head, raising her voice again.
Viv Jimenez "What I don't understand is what the FUCK happened to my boyfriend, because this arrogant fuck? Not him."
He steps back up and looks down at her.
Sean Callaghan: "And this girl that's shoving me? That's not my girlfriend. What the fuck happened to her!?"
She rears back slightly and throws her hands up all out yelling in frustration.
Viv Jimenez "Just go."
She points towards the house before turning away from him, running her hands down her face as she tries to catch her breath and calm down.
Viv Jimenez "It doesn't matter anymore..."
He sighs and tries to calm down himself as he places his hands on her shoulders and looks her in the eyes.
Sean Callaghan: "Viv, babe, I'm sorry... I don't want to fight. Let's just hit reset and talk calmly. No name calling, no cussing, just explain to me how you feel and I'll respond in the way that your boyfriend would respond. I promise."
She shrugs him off and shakes her head.
Viv Jimenez "I don't have nothing to say... I don't know anything about your business, I heard you."
She steps around him and drops back to the ground, wrapping her hands round her legs and staring forward almost determinedly.
He kneels down in front of her and places his index finger on her chin to raise her eyes up to meet his.
Sean Callaghan: "You don't know anything about it, yeah, but I want to help you learn and understand it. Tell me everything that's bothering you and I'll respond the right way. Please? I'm sorry, babe... I love you."
She slaps his hand away and frowns as she looks into his eyes.
Viv Jimenez "No, forget it."
She scoffs and shakes her head.
Viv Jimenez "You walk into my home and raise your voice at me? Tell me to watch my fucking mouth?!"
She curls her lip slightly.
Viv Jimenez "To sit the fuck down and shut it and now.. NOW you want to talk calmly ? Fuck you."
He sighs and shakes his head before standing up.
Sean Callaghan: "Alright, I'll leave you alone."
She laughs and nods her head.
Viv Jimenez "Yeah, sounds about right."
He throws his hands up in frustration.
Sean Callaghan: "Well I don't know what else you want me to do!?"
She shrugs and drops her voice to a quiet tone.
Viv Jimenez "Whatever you want, you will anyway."
He looks at her and frowns.
Sean Callaghan: "I want what you want from me. I'm just asking you to tell me."
She looks up at him, obviously still angry and hurt.
Viv Jimenez "Don't ever tell me to watch my fucking mouth again. Don't build me up just to go away and come back with this new, entitled cocky attitude to knock me down again."
A tear rolls down her cheek and she angrily brushes it away.
Viv Jimenez "You're right, I don't know the sport, I don't understand. But I'm trying and you just.. treat me like some trophy wife yo be seen and not heard? No que va Sean, that's not who I am."
She reaches his eyes with hers.
Viv Jimenez "So if that's what you, leave and don't ever come back because I'm worth more than some pretty little thing who sits back and watches."
He grabs her hands and gently pulls her back up to her feet, keeping his hands grasped onto hers.
Sean Callaghan: "Viv, I didn't mean to make you feel that way. I'm sorry, I'll try to never do it again."
He sighs and frowns.
Sean Callaghan: "I just need you to communicate to me what's bothering you instead of subtweeting about it on twitter. Just talk to me and tell me so that I can answer you the best I can and give you a rhyme to my reason."
He pauses and shakes his head.
Sean Callaghan: "And I'm not blaming you for this fight, it's on me, I got stupid, I know that... But all I'm saying is that we need to communicate better. I'm so fucking sorry and you're not some trophy wife to me..."
He pauses and slightly smiles.
Sean Callaghan: "Wait... You said wife though? Not even trophy girlfriend... You legit said wife."
He wraps his arms around her and squeezes her tight.
Sean Callaghan: "You actually see that for us? Because babe, you're the only thing that matters to me. I choose you over this wrestling life a million times over."
She pauses for a moment thinking over her words before blushing slightly.
Viv Jimenez "It's a phrase..."
She bites her bottom lip and looks up at him.
Viv Jimenez "I'm scared, for all of you. This isn't just another match, especially not Liam's, he could get really hurt and you're all there pushing, you push too hard and it'll snap."
She slides her arms around his waist and leans into him.
Viv Jimenez "I may not understand wrestling, but I know psychology and you're playing with fire..."
She tilts her head to look into his eyes.
Viv Jimenez "And I meant it when I said it, you're the only future I got."
He sighs and nods his head in agreement.
Sean Callaghan: "I know you're scared. It is a little scary, especially for Liam. But we can't show that, even you. We need your support, not your fear. As for playing with fire, I won't let anything happen to Liam. I've never let anything happen to him. The only time he's been really, really hurt was because of Paz."
He scoffs and shakes his head.
Sean Callaghan: "I don't mean to sound like a dick... But I know what I'm doing in these kinds of situations and I know what kind of guys the Laroux's are. It's not complex. I just need you to trust that I have it under control."
He looks into her eyes and nods confidently.
Sean Callaghan: "And as for your phrase... I'd love for you to be my wife without the trophy part."
He grins. She smiles and nods slightly, he can tell she's not confident or wholly convinced, but she's tired from their fight and has missed him so much that she just wants to drop it.
Viv Jimenez "I'm sorry I cussed at you.. a lot.."
She sighs and leans into him.
Viv Jimenez "Can we just go inside and watch a movie? I don't want to stand here and yell any more."
Sean Callaghan: "Sure."
He leans down and kisses her softly.
Sean Callaghan: "Let's just relax and enjoy each other's company and we'll come back to this conversation later and you can tell me anything that's bothering you and I won't get mad, I promise."
She nods quietly and turns, pulling on his hands to lead him inside, she flicks in a movie and curls up against him in the couch, her head on his chest and her hands wrapped around him, before the opening credits finish she's already asleep, wrapped close against him, drifting to sleep to the sound of his heart. And almost as quickly as Viv falls asleep, Sean falls asleep as well while holding on tightly to his girlfriend.
The scene opens up with Sean standing in his living room with a blue Tom Brady jersey on, along with a serious look on his face.
Sean Callaghan: ”So I haven’t made my in ring debut and I’m facing a guy named Argyle and a girl named Bubblegum. Oh wait… Bubblegum is a dude actually, my bad. I just didn’t expect a male wrestler to have such a girly name but hey, it is 2017, right? Anything goes. In this day and age, you can’t just assume with names now. I’m surprised Argyle’s real name isn’t Veronica or something like that but I digress. Argyle is like me in a sense that he grew up loving wrestling. He’s done things in merchandise sales and has even been a manager and now he’s going to try his hand in the ring.”
“Sadly for him, he should’ve stuck to the manager aspect of this because the guy isn’t going to have a chance of beating me. I actually find it funny that Argyle is from Savannah, Georgia, which is quite close to Atlanta where the Falcons play. Sadly for Argyle, he has as much of a chance as beating me as the Falcons have beating the Patriots in the Super Bowl…. Slim to none. You see, I’m not just representing me in this triple threat match… I’m representing my family and South Boston. I bleed that Boston and I specifically bleed that section of town. They’re all watching me and rooting for me to do well. I won’t settle for failure, not like Argyle and Bubblegum are going to.”
“Speaking of Bubblegum, you really call yourself the Bubblegum Prince? And this guy is five feet and four inches tall. Are you fuckin’ kiddin’ me? I’ve seen a guy his size over at F’n Awesome Wrestling and he hasn’t been doing too well for himself. The only difference between that guy and Bubblegum is that the other dude is an asshole. Bubblegum is just an annoying bitch who forgot his set of balls back home. Can’t blame him for acting like a girl when he’s as tall as my girlfriend though. Hell, I’m surprised someone going by the name Bubblegum and wearing that color of clothing made it out of a state like Tennessee. I figured all those inbred, uneducated, Trump humping conservative folks would rip you apart.”
“But hey, you made it out so congrats on that I guess? One thing is for certain, you’re not going to make it out of this triple threat. This match is as good as mine and I’m not going to let any of you stop me from making a name for myself here in Victory. Not only that, I’m going to prove a point to my two opponents over in F’n Awesome, that I can survive with the odds stacked against me. Ya I’m stuck in a handicapped match over there and while that’s different than a triple threat, it’s sure enough to give me a bit of a warm up for that match.”
“So I have added motivation in this match. As for Argyle and Bubblegum, I don’t know what motivation they got going into this but I guarantee it’s not the same as mine. This match is as good as mine and I can already see why. I have the size advantage and wrestling literally runs in my blood. My dad was a wrestler before a career ending injury. But he’s taught me everything he knows and continues to teach me to get better. This is what I was destined to do… I was meant to wrestle… And there’s not a damn thing Bubblegum or Arygle can do to win this match. I’m going to win on Monday, just like my Pats will on Sunday. So look out world, Boston is going two for two this week… I guarantee it.”
