Alrighty, let's hear your views on this, our second outing. As usual, any talk of your match result/grade should be kept to my inbox, thanks. You can also request your scores, as usual.
For me, we're starting to see rivalries form. The attendance in both 4-ways was poor, but that's how it goes. I'm happy to see Brooklyn and Aiden into the Revolution 4-way (though Helena pushed Aiden very close. That's been noted, don't worry!).
My biggest feedback to you all is that our scoring system gives a full quarter of its score to the argument criteria. This means you need to tell me what your char does better than your opponent, the opponent's weaknesses and how they can be exploited, what your char will do and how it will equate to a win, etc. These can be sourced from their bios, previous matches, previous (on camera) promos and/or Twitter. And they need to be accurate to the facts of each character. For instance, you can't claim a guy whose bio says he's a 300lbs strongman is weaker than your 150lbs character, because it makes no sense. So you'd instead say that whilst the opponent is strong, your char is faster/more technically capable, whatever.
A few of you didn't really even touch on this, and others did mention the opponents but never really analysed into what made their characters the deserved winner other than merely stating "I will win" or something like that. For me this is a big part of a promo because, broken down to the most basic way of looking at things, you are supposed to be selling me, the grader, on the idea that you deserve the win.
