Aiden is sitting down in his Dodge Ram and his clothes and hair are drenched in sweat. He has an exhausted look on his face but he seems happy. He’s staring down at his iPhone as he scrolls through a few names until he stops on Veronica, who’s his wife. Aiden hits the call button and raises the phone up to his ear. Aiden listens to the dial tone for a little over thirty seconds until it clicks over to Veronica’s voicemail, which causes his brow to furrow.
It’s Veronica… Leave a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Aiden then proceeds to leave a message on her machine.
Aiden Morrow: ”Hey babe, I just finished up training with Flex and it’s going pretty well. He thinks I’m almost ready to sign somewhere and when that happens, everything will change for us. I won’t have to work and train and be away for fourteen hours a day anymore. We’re so close, babe, so damn close. I’m guessing you didn’t answer because you’re busy making dinner and taking care of AJ, so I’ll see you when I get home. Thank you for being an amazing mother and wife. I don’t know how I could’ve done this without you. I love you.”
Aiden smiles and hangs up the phone before casually tossing it onto the passenger seat. His hand is placed on the wheel as he sits there and gets lost in his own thoughts. He then brushes his hand through his hair and nods.
Aiden Morrow: ”A couple of months and I’ll be ready… I can’t believe it.”
He starts up the truck and pulls away from the Flex Johnson’s dojo. After a fifteen minute drive, Aiden pulls up to his home in Santa Monica and parks on the right side of the driveway to his home, right next to Veronica’s Honda Civic. Aiden gets out of the truck and shuts the door before glancing into the window of the Honda Civic. He turns his head before doing a double take and he sees his son inside of the vehicle, still strapped into the car seat.
Aiden drops his truck keys and his gym bag and begins to bang on the car window to get AJ’s attention, but his son is unresponsive as it seems he passed out from being stuck in car in the hot California weather. Aiden tries to open the door but it’s locked and so he ends up throwing his elbow into the window but it simply bounces off of it. Aiden then runs over to his truck and grabs a toolbox from out of the truck bed. He opens it up and pulls out a large wrench before swinging it at the front passenger side window.
The window shatters open and Aiden frantically reaches inside to unlock the door and he cuts his arm on a glass shard that’s sticking up from the bottom of the window. Aiden pays no attention to the cut as he opens up the backdoor to the backseat and he unstraps AJ from his car seat. The almost two year old is motionless as Aiden bounces him up and down into his arms.
Aiden Morrow: ”Come on AJ, wake up buddy. Come on!”
He doesn’t wake up but Aiden can feel him breathing still. With AJ in his hands he calls dials 911.
911… What’s your emergency?
Aiden Morrow: ”My-my son… He was left in the car in the heat and he passed out. I need an ambulance as soon as possible.”
Sir, what is your location? An ambulance will be on it’s way.
Aiden gives the 911 operator the information where he lives and about eight minutes pass until an ambulance arrives at the scene. Aiden quickly hands AJ off to the EMT’s and they take AJ into the ambulance and start to go to work on the toddler as the police and fire department now show up as well. A police officer walks up to Aiden and begins to question him.
Officer: ”Sir, who left your son in the vehicle?”
Aiden’s eyes widen as he looks back at the house, knowing full well that it was his wife, Veronica, that left Aiden in the vehicle. Aiden is speechless, not knowing what to say exactly. He completely zones out and the officer tries to get his attention again.
Officer: ”Mr. Morrow, is it? I need to know what happened here or else I’m going to have to take you into custody now and bring you in for custody.”
The ambulance starts to pull away and it snaps Aiden out of it. He goes to chase after it with the the officer and his partner grabs Aiden and hold him back.
Officer: ”Mr. Morrow, you need to stay here so we can finish our report. What happened? I’m not going to ask again!”
The noise of the sirens from the ambulance begin to drown out as the vehicle disappears out of Aiden’s vision. He bites his bottom lip down hard as his eyes begin to fill with tears. He then looks over at the officer and then over at his house where his wife is as a guilty look runs over his face. He may not of left AJ in the car but he feels at fault for it. Aiden looks the officer in the eyes and the officer can see how hurt Aiden is.
Aiden Morrow: ”It was me… I left him in the car. I’m sorry.”
The officer immediately grabs Aiden by the wrist and begins to handcuff his hands behind his back as he begins to recite Aiden his Miranda Rights.
Officer: ”You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult an attorney before speaking to the police and to have an attorney present during questioning now or in the future. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. If you decide to answer questions now without an attorney present, you will still have the right to stop answering at any time until you talk to an attorney. Knowing and understanding your rights as I have explained them to you, are you willing to answer my questions without an attorney present?”
Aiden Morrow: ”Yes…”
The officer then leads Aiden to the police car and pushes him into the back of the patrol car. The two officers then get into the vehicle and Aiden stares out the window the house. The police car begins to pull away right as the front door to the house opens and Veronica stumbles out of the front door. She sees Aiden in the back of the police vehicle in confusion and starts to run towards it.
Veronica and Aiden make eye contact as the vehicle pulls away and she can see the hurt in his eyes as he shakes his head at her. The police car soon vanishes and Veronica turns around to see the broken window from her Honda Civic which causes her to realize exactly what happened… That she left AJ in the car. She collapses to the ground in shock and confusion, not knowing what to do. She soon pulls out her phone and dials the number to Aiden’s dad, David and David answers on the other end.
David Morrow: ”Hello?”
Veronica Morrow: ”Da-David! I… I left AJ in the car and they… They took Aiden. They took him!”
David sounds confused in his response.
David Morrow: ”They!? Who? And where’s AJ? What’s going on?”
Veronica tries to process her thoughts before attempting to respond to David through her sobs.
Veronica Morrow: ”The police… They took Aiden and I… I don’t know where AJ is! I don’t know what to do!!
David Morrow: ”Just hang tight, I’ll be there in a few minutes and we’ll figure this all out.”
David hangs the phone up and Veronica walks over to the two vehicles. She sees Aiden’s gym bag on the ground around all of the glass and she lifts it up before wrapping her arms around the bag, as if she has her arms wrapped around Aiden.
Veronica Morrow: ”I’m sorry… I’m so fucking sorry.”

The scene opens up with Aiden Morrow leaning back against the ropes inside of a wrestling ring that is located inside of a giant gym. His clothes are drenched in sweat and it’s apparent he just finished an intense training workout. Aiden then glances over at the camera and smiles.
Aiden Morrow: ”All of us have been through trials and tribulations to get to where we are now. I came so close to debuting in the ring over a year ago. Flex Johnson believed that I was a couple months away from making it big and getting a contract. I was so close I could taste it…. So close to giving my family everything that I wanted to give them while also achieving my dream of becoming a wrestler. While training to be a wrestler, I was gone long portions of the day, seven days a week. Each day would be about work, training or even both.”
“But then life threw a curveball at me. My ex-wife, Veronica, left our son in the backseat of her vehicle and my life was turned upside down. I became a single father and I had to drop the wrestling dream for a bit. I worked in construction and have done my best to raise AJ since but luckily, I had my parents helping me every step of the way. Over the last seven months, they gave me the encouragement to chase after my dream again. They told me to go back to Flex Johnson’s dojo and finish my training. While there for my second stint, I learned from Flex and Blyss Lockhart, two of the best this sport has seen. Now here I am in Legacy Wrestling and not only do I believe I’m ready but they believe it too.”
Aiden pauses as he steps through the ropes and gets out of the ring. He takes a few steps towards the camera so that he’s only a couple of feet away now.
Aiden Morrow: ”So there I was two weeks ago, ready for my dream to come true. I was going to get into the ring and have my first REAL match in front of thousands of people and what happened? PerZag stole it from me. He not only attacked my opponent, John Tolly, but he attacked me as well before following that up with attacks on a few others that night. PerZag hijacked the event to get this match with me and he hijacked MY moment, the one that I’ve been working my ass off for.”
A flood of emotions run over Aiden’s face as he bites his bottom lip and shakes his head. The frustration and anger is apparent in his eyes as he keeps his focus on the camera.
Aiden Morrow: ”PerZag thinks what he did was okay because he believed he deserved to be in the tournament for the Legacy Championship. Instead of proving that he belonged in it through in ring work, he decided to take the easy route and throw a fit. PerZag claims that we don’t know who he is and that he isn’t selfish but his actions two weeks ago say otherwise. His actions were those of a selfish man and he definitely took an easy route to get this match with me.”
“Do I have everything to prove still, like PerZag said? Of course because I didn’t get my chance to show my abilities at the last show. So PerZag, congratulations on being captain obvious when it comes to me. I’m young and I’m a rookie and I’m not denying that. I’m not trying to jump out of my skin and say or be something that I’m not. I’m comfortable with what I’ve earned so far and I’m ready to prove that I belong on this stage. Let me ask you something, PerZag, what are you going to say if you lose to me? Are you going to say that I’m the better man or are you going to throw another fit?”
“You also claimed that I have no idea who you are but there’s enough of you for me to know. There’s film on you from last show and there’s a plethora of OCW information out there as well. I know that you’ve held three belts in that company over the years and that you’ve had some success. But despite that success, you’re here in Legacy with me, a developmental brand. I see why I’m here but why are you? How come you weren’t drafted onto Mayhem or Showdown? I’m not saying you’re a bad competitor but I think your bad attitude dropped your value in the eyes of the higher ups. We all saw Alex Jones drop to spot number thirteen and it’s definitely not because of his talent… It was because of his attitude.”
Aiden pauses and shrugs while keeping his focused eyes on the camera.
Aiden Morrow: ”So I have all of this information on you to work with, PerZag, but what do you have on me? There’s nothing besides who trained me. That advantage works on my favor because you have no idea what I’m going to hit you with…. Just like at the end of the last show when I turned the tide on you and dropped you to end the show before you ran off. You can beat me down from behind but face to face? You’re going to have to give everything that you’ve got against me because I’m going to give you the fight of your life. I refuse to let you steal my moment from me again.”
“I do love how you contradict yourself, by the way. One second you’re saying, ‘I don’t have an ego’, and the next minute you say. ‘I’m the best and nobody is better than me.’ So what is it, PerZag? Because so far, you’re being a flip flopper about who you are. Now let me address your life that you brought up.”
Aiden pauses and shakes his head before letting out a deep sigh.
Aiden Morrow: ”I understand you’ve been through a lot. You told your life story and everyone you loved and cared about died and you were left standing with nothing. Your life has been full of tragedies, just like the rest of us. Some of us have had it worse, some of us have had it easier but we all go through a lot. So you brought up these tragedies to show that I apparently have no idea who you are. You’re right, PerZag, until your promo a few days ago, I had no clue who you were as a person outside of the ring. But thanks to your story, I now know that you’ve been through a ton.”
“But it’s what we do with ourselves after we go through tragic events that matters. You said that your luck has run dry and that you need to create your own luck. If that’s all that you learned from your past and learning from losing all of those people, then I’m sorry. Life happens and it isn’t about luck… Things just happen and they’re out of our control. When my ex-wife left our son in a hot car and he passed out due to heat exhaustion… I thought I had lost him forever and I truly believed it was my fault.”
“I blamed myself for so long, thinking so many ‘what-ifs’ and believing that I could’ve done something to prevent it. But now I realize that I couldn’t do anything to change those events that broke my family apart and landed my ex-wife in prison, thus turning me into a single father. When all of that happened, I almost gave up on my dream of becoming a professional wrestler. I felt like I didn’t deserve it anymore… That I didn’t deserve anything good to happen to me. But I snapped out of it, kept my head up and worked hard as hell at my craft and here I am… One match away from fighting for the Legacy Championship.”
He steps back towards the ring and slaps his hand down on the ring apron.
Aiden Morrow: ”This ring is my dream. Not only because I love wrestling but because I want to make a difference and do something that my son can be proud of. I could’ve made a decent living being a construction worker the rest of my life but I wanted to be more than that. I wanted to be a superhero to my son and leave him a legacy that he could be proud of. I thought I was going to start that legacy two weeks ago but you got in the way of that, PerZag. I’m not going to let you get in the way again.”
Aiden pulls himself up onto the apron and sits on it as he keeps his eyes focused on the camera.
Aiden Morrow: ”PerZag, let me make one last thing clear… When I said I knew who you were, by no means did I mean I knew anything about your personal life. I strictly meant it professionally and even though you have revealed your tragic past, it doesn’t matter when both of us step in the ring. No offense to you and your story, but I could care less about who you are personally. I simply care about what you’re going to bring in the ring. You might be bigger than me and you even have more experience in this business but I don’t think for a second you’ll be as prepared as I am.”
“I want this more than you do and you’ve unleashed my hunger even more than it was at two weeks ago. I’ve been working for this moment and dreaming about it my entire life. I won’t let it slip through my fingers and I won’t let you steal anything else from me again. While your tragedies might have taught you to be a guy who does whatever he wants until he gets his way, mine have taught me to never give up on my dreams and to especially never give up on myself.”
“Because I kept working on myself, I now have a home and a family here in Vegas, while also having the career that I’ve always dreamed of. I might not have been able to prove myself to the masses two weeks ago but now is my opportunity to do so. I know that you’re going to be tough in the ring, PerZag, I know that I’m up against the odds and that I’m the underdog but you know what? I thrive off of that and it’s just going to make me come at you even harder.”
“So whatever happens in that ring, PerZag, just know that you’re going to get the hardest fight of your life. I will not go down easy because while you do this for yourself now… I do it for the people that I love… The people who I want to be proud of me. My parents… My son… And Joey Reyes. They help fuel my fire to be the best and that’s what I’m going to strive to be. What fuels you besides your own selfish needs, PerZag? I think we all see that the answer to that is clearly no one. See you soon.”
Aiden nods at the camera before hopping off of the apron and walking away and the scene fades out.
