OOC: So I'm going to be posting my CD's from Legacy to kind of give people the feel of my Aiden Morrow story so far.
[Off Camera]
[Training]
[Outskirts of Vegas]
[8/18/16]
Aiden has always been a fan of Joey Reyes and his admiration for her only grew as he heard his trainer, Flex Johnson, tell stories about Joey. Since Joey recently reappeared on the scene somewhat, he decided to take a chance and ask her to train with him. Joey gave Aiden an address to a ramshackle old hangar that was converted into a gym. It's old school, almost like something out of the movie Rocky. There are tumbleweeds blowing by and the sign for the place doesn't even light anymore; needless to say, the place is run down. Parked outside of the gym is a pristine BMW i8. It’s a very expensive car and it’s obviously Joey’s as the rest of the vehicles parked there are a bunch of beaters. Aiden pulls up in an early 2000's blue Dodge Ram, his truck that he uses for his construction job that he recently quit. Aiden parks a few spots away from the BMW. He then exits his truck and walks up to the old beaten down hangar that's now a gym.
Some old coot missing half of his teeth is sitting behind the counter watching a TV with rabbit ears. Yes, rabbit ears wrapped in tinfoil. He glances over at Aiden and giggles an unnerving little old man giggle before he nods for Aiden to go ahead. Aiden shrugs his shoulders and continues forward onto the main area off the building where he sees a series of rings throughout the large hangar; some wrestling, some boxing, some MMA. There are also mats to roll for judo, etc. In one of the rings standing on her hands and managing to do push ups while like that is Joey, dressed in a sports bra and yoga pants. She doesn't notice Aiden as she's completely focused on not killing herself at the moment.
Aiden walks up to the ring and he makes sure not to break her concentration. He's content just watching her; fifty percent of the reason is because she's quite impressive, but the other half? Because she's hot and he's enjoying the view. Joey walks on her hands for a little bit before flipping and landing on her feet. She smiles and exhales, obviously relieved she was able to pull it off and take a quick moment to rotate her previously injured right shoulder and make sure it's holding up. Satisfied with it for the time being she fixes her long ponytail and before leaning over in the corner and grabbing a drink while still not realizing Aiden’s there, she’s providing a fantastic view of her ass. Aiden just simply smiles and enjoys the view of Joey’s butt before she glances over her shoulder and stands there watching him watch her before she finally speaks up.
Joey Reyes: "My eyes are up here you know."
Aiden snaps out of his stare and turns a bit red from embarrassment. He looks her in the eyes and gives her an awkward smile.
Aiden Morrow: "Oh um, hey. I didn't want to interrupt you as you went about your business. Sorry."
Joey lets out a laugh.
Joey Reyes: "Well now I feel rude for interrupting you. Were you all set with that, or...?"
His eyes widen a bit.
Aiden Morrow: "Uh... Aren't you going to train me a bit?"
Joey Reyes: "Right, but I was checking to see if you were all set ogling my ass before we get started."
Aiden starts to get more comfortable with her now.
Aiden Morrow: "Well now that I think about it, if you could turn back around and let me look for a few more seconds, that would be great."
A shit-eating grin runs over Aiden’s face while in turn, Joey’s smiles grows as she nods towards the ropes.
Joey Reyes: "Get in here and earn it."
Aiden nods and rolls into the ring before getting up on his feet with a little pep in his step and a grin still on his face.
Aiden Morrow: "I'm ready. How about you?"
Joey gives Aiden an, ‘are you serious?’ look and he catches on.
Aiden Morrow: "Oh. Right."
He grimaces as he starts to do a few stretches while feeling like an idiot. Joey simply shakes her head and drops into a ridiculous split so that her chest is touching the canvas as she stares up at him not even breaking a sweat.
Joey Reyes: "That's not a stretch. Compared to some of those monsters in the ring, you're not a very big guy and they're going to toss you around. There are three things you need to be. Quick; to avoid being hit. Flexible; to crumple with the impact and absorb damage. Smart; to know when to pick your spots and how to formulate a game plan. I can teach you all the moves in the world but it won't matter if you can't get yourself a position to execute them. Do you do yoga, Aiden?"
He slowly shakes his head.
Aiden Morrow: "I don't... Should I?"
She nods and rolls out of the split and right back to her feet.
Joey Reyes: "You should. I got my degree in sports medicine, trust me when I tell you that most injuries could be prevented if athlete took better care of their body and understood how to push and use their muscle groups to their fullest potential."
She smiles.
Joey Reyes: "I know you're probably skeptical but trust me, no one thought that earthy crunchy bullshit was more lame than I did and now I'm devout. Learn to control your body and the sky will be the limit."
Aiden smiles as he nods his head in agreement.
Aiden Morrow: "There's no skepticism here. I came here to learn from one of the best and that's what I intend to do. So if I need to add yoga to part of my workout then I will. Just show me what to do and I'll do it, I'm a quick learner."
Joey Reyes: "Yeah, I'm not going to be your yoga guru but if it were me I'd get a class pronto, it should be the first thing you do everyday before any type of workout. Yoga and speed and agility drills should be daily. But not conventional speed and agility stuff, you need stuff that really hones your reflexes because you've got zero room error in there when some giant fuck's about to get his mitts on you. Video ALL your in ring sessions and watch them back obsessively to see where you can improve. Sometimes it's hard to see it in the moment but watching back on video you'll usually see your weaknesses more clearly."
He's continuing to stretch as he listens intently, making mental notes for everything she says.
Aiden Morrow: "Alright, got it. It seems like I'm quite the project still, huh?"
She shrugs.
Joey Reyes: "You're green, right? To me you probably shouldn't even be taking matches yet, but whatever. Just make sure you go around to different gyms and learn different disciplines, that way you find what suits you best which is usually a combination of a lot of different styles and techniques. What works well for me may not necessarily work well for you. A luxury I had that you probably don't because of your little guy is travel. I traveled the world picking up different styles and taking pieces with me."
Aiden Morrow: "Well that's why I'm starting in a developmental place. But I've done a few months of training with Flex that's been spread out over the last two years. I couldn't stay with it at first because... Complications."
His mind wanders elsewhere for a moment before he catches himself.
Aiden Morrow: "But yeah, I've got some of Flex's style down and it fits a bit. I think I'm a good fit for a lot of the stuff that you do as well."
Joey nods
Joey Reyes: "Flex's style... good... but what's YOUR style, Aiden? Describe it to me, picture it in your head."
He thinks for a moment.
Aiden Morrow: "Speed, agility and two steps ahead of everyone else. I pay attention to detail, so most of the times, I know what's coming next... And I'm a bit of a risk taker."
Joey Reyes: "What happens when you run into that opponent you're not two steps ahead of?"
Aiden Morrow: "Then I'll have to do something over the top and risky to make sure I get the job done."
She rolls her eyes.
Joey Reyes: "No you'll have to be better prepared than they are."
She shakes her head and sighs.
Joey Reyes: "Watch... let's just do a simple collar and elbow tie up. You ready?"
He stands up and gets in position.
Aiden Morrow: "Yeah, let's go."
She nods and just as they go to lock up she grabs him, yanks him towards her and buries him with a short arm clothesline while hooking her leg around his for a trip, insuring that hits the mat hard flat on his back.
Joey Reyes: "You weren't ready."
Aiden stands up and looks at her with a frustrated look on his face.
Aiden Morrow: "Again."
Joey shrugs. This time when they go to lock up she let's him come forward and side steps with a drop toe hold so he lands on his face, which she in turn smashes into the mat.
Joey Reyes: "Hope you didn't think I was going to go for the same move."
He slaps the mat hard before getting back up quickly to his feet.
Aiden Morrow: "Let's go again."
She shakes her head.
Joey Reyes: "You're just getting frustrated, you're not focusing."
Aiden takes a deep breath and relaxes.
Aiden Morrow: "You're right. I'm fine, let's try again."
Joey Reyes: "Fine."
This time Joey looks ready to lock up and the second they're about to she just kicks him right in the inner thigh, a fraction of a centimeter away from his nuts. Aiden grabs his thigh for a second but doesn't fall down and instead charges at her as hard as he can his leg being hurt before dropping her down with a clothesline. He's now lying on his back holding his inner thigh and Joey eats the clothesline and is immediately on all fours, shaking it off. Aiden can tell his perseverance surprised her. Cracking her neck she hops back to her feet.
Joey Reyes: "Wow. Okay, didn't think you'd continue to come forward but good for you. Here's the thing though... three times we've tried to lock up and never once have I engaged you. Do you know why?"
He thinks about it before nodding.
Aiden Morrow: "Probably because I would overpower you and it's better off for you to avoid it and counter with something else."
Joey Reyes: "Exactly. Last thing I need is you with your hands on me while we're on our feet. Maybe I can chance it more with you on your back but with a vertical base early in the match. Fuck no.”
Joey holds her hand out to help him up.
Aiden Morrow: "Yeah, that makes a ton of sense."
Aiden grabs Joey’s hand and she helps pull him up and while doing so, she looks him in the eyes.
Joey Reyes: "How do you feel about the rules, Aiden?"
His brow furrows.
Aiden Morrow: "The rules? I respect them. I think the only way you can get me to cheat in the ring is if you try to cheat against me first, basically."
She stares at him for a long moment before exhaling.
Joey Reyes: "So let's say the person across the ring from you was trying to take your kid. He wins, he gets your kid. What about then?"
He's stunned at her bringing up AJ but it doesn't even take a second for him to respond.
Aiden Morrow: "I'd do whatever it takes to win for AJ."
Joey Reyes: "Then it should ALWAYS be for AJ. Do you know how many times I've bent the rules? Countless. Do you know how many times I've got disqualified for it? Never. This isn't martial arts, there's no honor in this sport and if your little boy was sitting in the crowd I'd just assume flip him off if I knew it would throw you off your game. People don't give a fuck about the rules, unless it's to use them to their advantage. The sooner you accept that the better."
He looks at her kind of shocked as he slowly nods his head.
Aiden Morrow: "Okay... Bend the rules when necessary. I'll keep that in mind."
She chuckles lightly.
Joey Reyes: "Why do you look so surprised, I thought you knew me."
He shakes it off.
Aiden Morrow: "It's not that. It just... It all takes a different meaning when you use AJ as an example."
Joey shrugs and looks him dead in the eyes.
Joey Reyes: "No one give a fuck about your kid but you in that arena, Aiden. If people know he's your weak spot, they'll exploit him. So while I get why you post all those father and son pictures, know that you're opening yourself up for him to become a target, verbally at least."
He nods in agreement.
Aiden Morrow: "I understand. Thank you."
From that point forward they do a little chain wrestling and Joey teaches Aiden some tricks that she's picked up over the years regarding leverage and using a bigger opponent's size against them. She's actually a good teacher when it comes to breaking down the psychology behind a move. She teaches him about appearing reckless but still being psychologically sound in the ring. Near the end of the session she asks Aiden about his finisher.
Joey Reyes: "What's your finisher?"
Aiden Morrow: "A double underhook piledriver and for opponents bigger than me I do a springboard flying forearm smash. What do you think?"
He looks sincerely interested as to what she thinks of his moves.
Joey Reyes: "Piledriver sounds good, not really sure the forearm smash is going to be enough to finish a big guy though. Seems more like a setup move to me. I do like that you can hit it quick though. To me that's most important. Quick and from almost anywhere."
He thinks over what she says for a moment before smiling.
Aiden Morrow: "Maybe you could teach me some of your finishing moves?”
She laughs and shakes her head.
Joey Reyes: "Maybe next time. I already have one bitch stealing my moves. But since I'm smaller, let's see if you get me into position for that piledriver. Sound good?"
He nods and steps towards her.
Aiden Morrow: "Are you sure you're ready?"
Joey lets out a laugh.
Joey Reyes: "Absolutely."
They engage and she's crazy quick, she's on defense the entire time but he sees opening where she could've attacked that he's going to need to work on later.. At one point and entirely by accident they get tangled up and her shoulder is torqued into an awkward position. Aiden let's go immediately, before Joey even has a chance to say anything, in fact he's impressed with how quickly he identified the situation and disengaged. Aiden knows for a fact he didn't hurt Joey’s surgically repaired shoulder but the second they disengage and he's going to check on her, she hauls off and slaps him HARD on the side of the head, like a slap with rage that causes his ear to ring. Aiden now holds his ear and starts to glare at her.
Aiden Morrow: "What the fuck was that!?"
Joey shoves him again and there's fire in her eyes.
Joey Reyes: "You had ONE THING you had to do... ONE THING... be careful of my fucking shoulder but you couldn't even do that right!!”
Before Aiden escalates the situation, he takes a deep breath as he assesses what just happened.
Aiden Morrow: "Joey, by the way you're shoving me, I'm pretty sure your shoulder is fine. I actually did the right thing and let go when your shoulder got torqued up. So please, stop shoving me. I'm sorry."
Joey paces back and forth in front of him breathing heavy and as her rage starts to subside he can see that she was scared. Scared of injuring her shoulder and going through surgery and rehab and therapy all over again. It was just a flash in her eyes before she turned away but for some reason he was able to read it.
Joey Reyes: "Whatever. We're done here."
Aiden walks up to her but he doesn't walk in front of Joey, he stays behind as a sign of respecting her boundaries.
Aiden Morrow: "Hey, that's fine, we can be done. I'm an idiot and I never should've asked you to risk your body for me... A nobody who you know nothing about. Thanks for everything you taught me. I won't bother you again."
He turns away and heads towards the ropes before dropping down and rolling under them. Joey turns to look over at him as he exits the ring.
Joey Reyes: "I didn't say that, okay? Just give me a minute. I'm sorry I hit you. I just got... spooked."
He stops and turns back towards the ring before leaning forward as he holds the bottom ropes and looks her in the eyes.
Aiden Morrow: "I don't blame you after you've hurt that shoulder twice."
He pauses for a moment and sighs.
Aiden Morrow: "Listen, I like you and you're really smart when it comes to wrestling but I don't want to put you in this situation again."
Joey walks over to the ropes and leans on them, staring down at him.
Joey Reyes: "You didn't put me in any position, I chose to do this. Besides, I need to get over these fears in case I ever get back in the ring again. People have surgeries and come back all the time. So maybe working together means we help each other."
He climbs up onto the apron in front of her and stands up and they're now face to face as he smiles at her.
Aiden Morrow: "So are you saying that this is going to be a regular thing? You and I?"
She exhales.
Joey Reyes: "I dunno. I mean it does seem like an awful long way for you to drive. Maybe we could alternate. One week up here, another week down your way. Something like that."
He thinks it over and nods.
Aiden Morrow: "If you're okay with that then so am I. I guess I need to find a cheap place to stay out here. Any suggestions?"
Joey Reyes: "You misunderstood. I meant one day per week and we'll alternate locations, that way you never have to stay over and be away from your son for too long. You stick to your regular training, now with yoga and we'll do this one per week."
He looks down as an embarrassed smile rolls across his face.
Aiden Morrow: "Sorry. I guess I was hoping I'd get to see you more than once a week."
She shakes her head.
Joey Reyes: "It doesn't make sense. You've got a life and work I'm assuming... you do work, right?”
Aiden Morrow: "What doesn't make sense? I stopped working when I got the contract with Alpha but then they closed up. So now I'm depending on this Legacy Wrestling contract with Honor. I take care of AJ the majority of the time but my parents watch him a lot too and they gave me their blessing to chase after this wresting thing. I wouldn't of done it unless they were okay with it and okay with helping me with AJ."
She chuckles in disbelief.
Joey Reyes: "I'm not a trainer, Aiden. Okay? I don't train people for a living. You're better off with Flex on a regular basis and me once per week. Why are you being so persistent on this?"
He looks down for a moment as he squeezes down on the ropes. He's contemplating in his head what to say before he looks back up at her and gives her a straightforward answer.
Aiden Morrow: "Because I don't just want to train with you. I want to get to know you."
She blinks and exhales while staring at him.
Joey Reyes: "Let's do this, how about you come up this weekend and stay overnight someplace reasonable and we can get in a couple of days of training and hangout a little?"
He smiles and nods.
Aiden Morrow: "That sounds amazing. I'm definitely down for that."
Joey raises her hand to her chin thoughtfully, yet mockingly.
Joey Reyes: "Or do you have a date with that bubbly blonde this weekend?"
His jaw drops.
Aiden Morrow: "Shit. I'm going to have to cancel that."
She tilts her head, smiling mischievously as her eyes dance.
Joey Reyes: "Are you sure? She seemed like quite the catch. All the boys fighting over her and stuff."
Aiden Morrow: "I was going to take myself out of that race anyway. I don't like the idea of competing with someone else for someone's affection. Besides, I'd rather spend the weekend with the girl who's much more my type."
A grin runs over Aiden’s face.
Joey Reyes: "Riiiiight, about that..."
She leans in closer and peers up into his eyes.
Joey Reyes: "What about me tells you I'm a bad girl?"
He smiles and has no problem answering.
Aiden Morrow: "Lots of things. That tongue ring for starters. But I think that fire that was dancing in your eyes when you were shoving the shit out of me more than told me enough about you being a bad girl.”
She laughs before turning away and exiting out the far side of the ring.
Joey Reyes: "Have a safe ride home, Aiden. See you on Saturday."
He calls out to her.
Aiden Morrow: "You sure you don't wanna grab a beer or something or do you just enjoy making people wait?"
Joey Reyes: "Goodnight, Aiden."
Aiden Morrow: "Goodnight, Joey. I hate to see you go but I love watching you leave."
Aiden says as he watches her walk away with a smile on his face.
[On Camera]
[My Legacy]
[Las Vegas]
[8/23/16]
The scene opens up with Aiden Morrow standing outside on the balcony of his friend’s luxury apartment that he’s currently staying at. He’s looking out at the view of the bright Las Vegas night life. Aiden turns and smiles at the tripod camera that he set up on the balcony.
Aiden Morrow: ”Legacy. It’s a word that is thrown around too often in this business, when in all reality, most people who use it don’t even have an idea what it means. In one term, it’s anything that’s handed down from the past by an ancestor or predecessor. In law terms, it’s basically a gift of property, specifically personal property and it’s given through a will usually. So the future of Honor Wrestling, me and several others, have signed on to their developmental brand, Legacy Wrestling. The slogan for the brand is simply, ‘leave a legacy.’ The thing is with this business, the majority of the people here are in it for themselves. Their legacies are for their own ego and self-worth. I know what my legacy is but before I touch on that, I want to ask John Tolly if he knows what his is?”
Aiden pauses and looks up at the night sky while also tilting the camera in the direction of the stars as well. Luckily enough, the camera catches a shooting star. Aiden sets the camera back down in it’s original position as a grin forms on his face.
Aiden Morrow: ”Legacy was created for two reasons. Reason number one: For people like myself. People who wanted to work their way up in this business the right way, through a developmental system. The other reason Legacy was made? To give a place for certain veterans who couldn’t cut it enough to sign onto the main roster. My opponent, John Tolly, has been in this business for seventeen years, ever since his debut in Robo Wrestling Federation. Tolly won their hardcore title and even their world title. He’s won a couple of those over the years but the thing is, his start would quickly fade in the mid-2000’s. Tolly would soon end up in UECW, where legends like Flex Johnson, Matthew Thomas, Angelica Layne and my personal favorite, Joey Reyes, called their home.”
A smile runs over his face at the mention of Joey.
Aiden Morrow: ”Tolly had success in UECW but was he remembered like the other big names in the company's history? Nope, he wasn’t. After his stint in UECW he did nothing of note besides a terrible run in Insurgency Wrestling. Now he’s here in Legacy, trying to find that former glory that he once had. But just like that shooting star we just saw burning up until it became nothing, that’s what John Tolly’s career has become. So before you start hyping up everything you’ve done, save it, because the facts are that you’re on the same level as me. I’m here because I humbly chose to be. It’s not because I don’t believe in my abilities but it’s because I wanted to work my way up through the ranks in this business and I say Legacy as the perfect place to do it. You’re here because your name and LEGACY no longer mean anything, they no longer hold any value. Sorry to say but your legacy is done and over with. You’re a star that’s burned up and has just a tiny flicker of life left before everything goes dark. Sorry to say, but I don’t see your time here lasting very long.”
Aiden shrugs before leaning back against the balcony.
Aiden Morrow: ”Some might say that what I’m saying is harsh or mean but I’m simply providing the truth that’s been laid out in front of all of us. While I respect what Tolly has done in his career, it just simply doesn’t matter anymore. But do you guys want to know the best part about me fighting John Tolly? The fact that he has history in UECW with Flex Johnson, my mentor, and Joey Reyes, my close friend. Not only do I have a massive amount of tape to look back on for John Tolly but there are people who I’m close to that will help me prepare for what he’s going to bring in the ring. While he’s most likely lost a few steps since those UECW days, I’m still going to know his tendencies and what he likes to do in the ring.”
“It’s only fitting that my first ever match is against Tolly, a guy that was bested by the man who trained me, Flex Johnson. So while I’m an unknown commodity and Tolly has no idea how to approach this match with me, I’ll know every little thing there is to know about him. He might have the experience advantage when it comes to years in this business but I have the knowledge advantage while also having the youth advantage as well. I’m quicker and faster than Tolly and I’ll be two steps ahead of him every step of the way. While his body is broken and beaten from all of the hardcore matches he’s put himself through during his career, my body is young and fresh. So when you seriously think about all of these factors, who really has the advantage in this match? Tolly or me? I think the obvious answer is there for all of you to see.”
Aiden pulls the camera off of it’s tripod stand and walks into the apartment with the camera looking up at him.
Aiden Morrow: ”Here’s the question of the night. What are you fighting for, John? You’ve done it all in the last seventeen years. You’ve won heavyweight championships, you’ve fought in iron matches, hardcore matches and you even made a Hall of Fame. What do you have left? What are you fighting for? I bet it’s something that you can’t answer clearly, right? Honestly, I’m surprised you’ve been as quiet as you have been since you’re supposed to be the veteran in this match. But here I am, the young, green rookie, getting things started. But hey, don’t worry about it, we can go at my pace. Just like how I’m kicking things off with this promo, I’ll kick things off with a bang in our match as well. So you can sit back and relax and I’ll simply run circles around you verbally and physically. Cool? Cool!”
Aiden walks up to a closed door to a room and stands in front of it. As he pauses and looks at the door, a proud smile runs over his face.
Aiden Morrow: ”So I started this promo talking about legacy’s and how they’re something of worth that’s meant to be left behind for somebody. We all talk about leaving a legacy but do we elaborate on it? Do we say who or what the legacy is for? The majority of us don’t. But me? I know who I’m leaving mine behind for.
Aiden slowly opens the door and turns the camera onto night mode so it can see in the dark. He walks up to a bed where his son, AJ, is lying asleep under a blanket that has the monster truck, Grave Digger, all over it. The shot stays on AJ for a few more seconds before Aiden points the camera back up to himself and he has a warm smile on his face. Aiden quietly walks out of the room and shuts the door.
Aiden Morrow: ”I want to leave behind a legacy for my son, AJ. Being a wrestler is a tough job but you know what’s tougher? Being a single father trying to provide for his son. So I scrap and I claw and I fight to provide for AJ, to give him everything that he’s going to ever want and need. Not only will I leave a legacy in this business for AJ to look back on and be proud of but I’m going to make sure that he lives a comfortable life. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for my son and I’m going to do whatever it takes to be one of the most successful wrestlers this industry has ever seen. Maybe that’s a pipe dream for some people but it’s not for me.”
“As much as I love wrestling, I won’t be fighting for myself, I won’t be fighting for my own glory. I fight for AJ, I fight for my family and that’s the greatest motivation a man needs to make it in this sport. While I fight for my son’s future, John Tolly is fighting to hold onto his past. At Legacy’s first ever show, I will advance in this tournament for the Legacy Championship and my star will continue to get brighter while Tolly’s continues to fade. See you soon, John and good luck.”
Aiden nods at the camera and hits the stop button to stop recording and the video feed goes black.

Sorry."
