From The Victory Studios, Charlotte, NC.
Victory Wrestling Episode 004.
OPENING SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "Welcome to Victory Wrestling Episode Four! We are just two weeks away from our first super show, Revolution, and boy are things heating up around here."
Charlotte Wilson: "That's right, Brad. We've got the two contenders for the Heritage title in action here tonight, with Helena Noir facing Cheesecake and Summer up against Katie Anderson."
'The Shark': "And speaking of Anderson, at Revolution she will join Kitty Petrova, Aiden Morrow and one of either Jackson Ford or Mr Hyde in the main event there."
Brad Tate: "Tonight we'll see Jackson and Hyde go head to head in a tables match, with the winner earning that spot."
Charlotte Wilson: "Not only that, though, Kitty and Aiden will give us a preview of Revolution when the go one-on-one in tonight's main event."
'The Shark': "Let's head down to the ring for tonight's opening bout."
TAG TEAM
Victoria Lawless and Sarah Shipley vs Shiro Tsuchii and Jonathan Cage
The crowd was pumped for the high octane contest with Victoria Lawless and newcomer Sarah Shipley looking to impress. They both hit the ring and brought the fight to the men before Victoria took over as the legal woman. The subsequent action was so fast and furious it was impossible to describe but the audience was definitely enjoying it right up to the first fall. Sarah boosted Victoria with an alley-oop hurricanrana onto Cage that earned them a two count. The action continued when Cage tagged out to Shiro who immediately fell victim to a double-team clothesline. He popped back up right into a wicked double-team powerbomb. Sarah covered for the pinfall but Cage intervened before the referee could start a count.
A few minutes later, Sarah ate a big boot in the corner while attempting a springboard splash on Shiro and Cage tagged in. He battled back, mounting some great offense with a few stiff strikes, creating distance from his corner before Sarah tripped him up with a sweep kick, making the hot tag back to Victoria. She dove between the ropes with a spear but Cage caught her mid air and turned it into a fall-away slam to a huge crowd pop. The next few minutes featured Victoria and Cage battling back and forth, the momentum shifting so quickly it was almost dizzying before Victoria countered a dragonscrew leg whip by rolling through, sweeping Cage’s leg. They scrambled through a few roll up attempts before Victoria caught him in the middle of the ring with a kick to the knee, locking him into Anarchy's Cradle and giving him no choice but to tap out or risk further damage!
Victor: Victoria Lawless and Sarah Shipley (submission)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "That's a fantastic win for Victoria and Sarah, a great start to both of their careers."
Charlotte Wilson: "Victoria was particularly impressive, I thought."
'The Shark': "Indeed. Cage will be disappointed, but that's how it goes."
Brad Tate: "And speaking of debuts, our next match features two more."
Charlotte Wilson: "Amanda Reynolds up against the impressive prospect, April Sixx."
ONE-ON-ONE
April Sixx vs Amanda Reynolds
As the bell rang Amanda was quickly on the attack pushing April back into the corner with a series of rights and lefts. Amanda followed with a hard elbow to April’s chest, which saw her fall to her knees winded for several moments. Amanda capitalised on her momentum, and connected a shining wizard to April’s head. Amanda attempted the cover but April managed to avoid the three count when she kicked out on the two.
Once both were back to their feet, Amanda was quickly on the attack again and attempted to whip April across to the opposite ropes, but April avoided the move and took control with a superkick to Amanda’s jaw. As a clearly stunned Amanda reeled from unexpected impact, April took advantage of her grogginess to get behind her for a German Suplex. April quickly went for the cover but was unable to get the three count as the referee spotted Amanda’s foot on the bottom rope.
April, spurred on by how close she’d been to gaining the pinfall wasted no time in regaining the control of the match by taking Amanda back to the mat with a snap suplex. She followed quickly with her Air Nakamura move, this time successfully securing the three count.
Victor: April Sixx (pinfall)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "A very impressive win for April there."
Charlotte Wilson: "She took it to Amanda, and sealed the deal, paying homage to Noah Nakanmura with her execution of his Air Nakamura move."
'The Shark': "She's another I expect big things from, truth be told."
Brad Tate: "Onto two other women who are kicking ass here in Victory, Summer is up against Katie Anderson next."
Charlotte Wilson: "Both women have a huge title match coming up and both will want to go into their match with a win. But only one can do that."
'The Shark': "On paper I'd say Summer should take this one. But I think Anderson needs this win more, so it should be an even bout."
ONE-ON-ONE
Summer vs Katie Anderson
The match got underway quickly with a fired up Katie charging at Summer as soon as the bell rang. Summer deftly side-stepped and Katie, unable to stall her momentum hit the ropes instead. Summer took the opportunity to take control of the match, hitting Katie with a dropkick to the back which saw her nearly go through the ropes.
Summer kept her advantage with a series of blows to Katie’s gut and chest and a perfectly executed step-up enziguri, but she was unable to get the attempted pinfall with Katie kicking out on the two. After the failed pin attempt, Katie came back on the attack quickly and she managed to catch Summer off guard with a DDT followed immediately by a standing moonsault. Summer kicked out almost immediately which left Katie looking frustrated.
Both women were back to their feet at the same time, after the break, with Summer being the first to advance on the frustrated Katie. Summer went for a second dropkick but Katie caught her feet which sent her back to mat. Katie used the opportunity well to catch Summer with a roll up. Despite Summer’s struggle Katie secured the three count.
Victor: Katie Anderson (pinfall)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "She did it!!"
Charlotte Wilson: "Indeed, a much needed win for Katie here tonight."
'The Shark': "And it puts her into the Revolution main event on the back of a two match winning streak."
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
'Bring It'- by Trapt starts to play and just as the arena starts to go dark Jackson Ford emerges from the back holding a mic.
Jackson Ford: Cut the music…
Holding the mic he makes his way to the ring as he starts to ascend the steps he looks out to the crowed and a particular blond hair lady catches his attention. He shakes his head and mumbles something to himself. He makes his way over to the center of the ring and looks around. Some of the fans are cheering and some are booing.
Jackson Ford: Well it seems like we have a rambunctious crowed here tonight. I hope that you all had a great holiday.
Jackson signals for a new mic as the current one cuts in and out.
Jackson Ford: Sorry about that folks, I didn’t come out here to talk about the holidays, I came out here for something more important.
The crowd starts a chant. Dance…..Dance….Dance
Jackson Ford: I guess you all seen the YouTube video that Gavin posted online. I would dance but I really have something to tell you fans in this arena and the ones watching at home.
He pauses for a moment and shakes his head and questions himself and starts to walk over to the ring. Just as he was climbing out of the ring, the blonde hair girl jumped the guard rail and starts heading toward Jackson but the security cuts her off and tries to escort her to the back. Jackson takes notice.
Jackson Ford: Hey… let my sister go!
The security stops mid-way up the ramp with the girl, they turn and look at Jackson. Reluctantly they release her.
Jackson Ford: Adrina come on down...
Adrina makes her way to the ring and climbs in as Jackson holds the turnbuckle open, he hugs Jackson. Jackson turns his attention back to the fans.
Jackson Ford: Well let me introduce you all to my sister, Adrina Rizzo. Yes you all heard me right, Rizzo! You see for two years I knew that my name wasn’t Jackson Ford. However I did not know the circumstances behind it all.
Jackson hands the mic over to Adrina.
Adrina: What my brother is saying, tonight will be the last time you will ever hear Jackson Ford’s name announced. After tonight he wants to be called by his birth name Alexander Rizzo.
Jackson Stands there and nods his head in agreement.
Adrina: Furthermore, he has hired me to be his image consultant.
The Music starts to play as Adrina drops the mic in the ring and the two makes their way out of the ring and to the back.
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "Up next is the always outspoken Cheesecake, facing the woman who may well be our first ever Heritage Champion, Helena Noir."
Charlotte Wilson: "And, given her attitude, you gotta believe few people will be cheering Cheesecake on here."
'The Shark': "Indeed. I can't see her besting Noir, to be honest."
ONE-ON-ONE
Cheesecake vs Helena Noir
Rising to her feet, Helena waited, missing a shining wizard as Cheesecake tried to stand. Cheesecake countered with a clothesline, but Noir was quickly back to her feet. Both women took a swing, both missed. Helena was quickest to recover, though, landing a roundhouse kick that sent Cheesecake off balance, dropping down into the corner, where Helena delivered a dropkick.
Noir stalked her opponent, waiting and waiting. As Cheesecake made it to her feet, Helena grabbed her, landing her Fondu Au Noir - the Cradle DDT transitioned into a guillotine choke. She yanked on Cheesecake, forcing her to submit and giving Helena the win.
Victor: Helena Noir (submission)
ADVERT
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "A very dominant display there from Helena, bringing her a second win here in Victory."
'The Shark': Very impressive. Seems to me like Noir is starting to show what she can do.
Charlotte Wilson: "And with her Heritage title match on the horizon, now is a fantastic time for her to be hitting her stride."
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Abandoning the mayhem at ringside, the view cut away to the catering area to reveal Vortex’s Executive Assistant Mia Rivera standing next to an unfamiliar face. She leaned in close, laughing over something as she reached past the ginger-haired man to grab a cupcake off one of the trays.
Mia Rivera: “Honestly, though? The goodies were my idea. I know sometimes you need a little sugar rush to combat the adrenaline after...”
She blushes, averting her eyes.
Mia Rivera: “Well, you know.”
The redhead, Patrick Carson, grins as he grabs one of the cupcakes himself.
Patrick Carson: “Oh, for sure! Kinda...you know...extend the high a little bit instead of crashing. I mean, you’ve got work to do, I’m sure!”
Taking a bite out of his cupcake, he’s temporarily unaware of the frosting that’s accumulated on his upper lip, after a moment, he senses something wrong and licks it off, laughing.
Patrick Carson: “But this is a really great setup! I like what I’ve seen so far, and I’ve seen a lot of wrestling. Victory’s really somewhere I’d recommend people watch.”
Mia watched him in rapt fascination, frozen in the middle of peeling the wrapper off the bottom of her cake before she shook it off and spoke.
Mia Rivera: “That’s really nice of you to say. I mean, I know you’re a fan of quite a few other promotions. I think what we’re doing here is really unique. Did you want to meet some of the talent? I can show you around… or we can just go watch things from the production booth. Whatever you’d prefer. I’m easy.”
She smiled cheekily, making it clear she was joking. Patrick, only partially aware how she had been watching him before, smiled.
Patrick Carson: “Yeah, that would be great! I've heard a lot about some of the talent here, and it would be really cool to meet them. Like uh, Cheesecake! And Katie Anderson, and…”
He let out a snicker, shooting a glance at Mia.
Patrick Carson: “Maybe Jackson Ford. Oh and-”
Kitty Petrova: “-the soon-to-be-crowned Victory Champion? Yes, Mia. Please introduce me to your new friend.”
Patrick and Mia looked over as Kitty Petrova walked into the shot. Patrick looked between the two and stepped forward, stuffing the rest of the cupcake in his mouth so he can offer a handshake.
Patrick Carson: “Hello, Patrick Carson, and you’re Kitty Petrova!”
Though it sounded more like a series of muffles, due to the cupcake in his mouth. Kitty rolled her eyes.
Kitty Petrova: “The pleasure’s all yours, I’m sure. So….”
She cast a pointed look in Mia’s direction, sidling a little closer.
Kitty Petrova: “Does Thirsty Jackson know you’re already scouting his replacement?”
Mia’s cheeks got a little pink as she shook her head, still picking at the wrapper on her cupcake.
Mia Rivera: “So clever. Did you spend the whole day thinking of that little quip?”
Kitty Petrova: “Don’t flatter yourself, Pinky. I’ve got far better things to do than worry about ring rats like you.”
Patrick Carson: “Then maybe you should go do that instead of bothering Mia. She’s got work to do, and you...you’ve got a match to lose tonight against Aiden Morrow!”
Patrick looks over at Mia.
Patrick Carson: Speaking of...you think I could meet him? I think that would be really cool!”
Kitty made a very audible sound of disgust, rolling her eyes.
Kitty Petrova: “Go ahead, Pinky. Introduce your new little friend to all the losers around here-”
Before she could finish, the cupcake Mia had been holding hit her square in the face.
Mia Rivera: “C’mon, Patrick. It’s getting a little too bitchy back here for my tastes.”
Taking him by the hand, Mia left the scene with Patrick in tow, leaving a humiliated Kitty Petrova behind, sputtering and wiping icing from her face.
ONE-ON-ONE
Chris Mosh vs Cross Recoba
The match began with a test of strength between the two men, which Mosh came up short on, ending up taken down to the mat with a side headlock. Kicking out, he moved to his feet, where Cross met him with several right hands. Another swing saw Recoba miss and Mosh ground him with a neckbreaker.
Standing again, Mosh pulled Cross up, hoisting him up and over with a suplex. Chris looked for an early pin, but only managed a one count. As Mosh stood, Cross rolled him up quickly, but also only managed a one. Both guys stood at the same time, each charging and grounding the other with a clothesline.
As the pair struggled up, it was Mosh who took control, scoring a pair of sidekicks and pulling Recoba into a belly-to-belly suplex. Mosh stalked Recoba, waiting for him to stand. But with a sudden burst of energy, Cross took Chris off guard, blasting him with Saito suplex.
Signalling for the end, Cross grabbed Chris, looking for his Sicilian Typewriter move. Mosh resisted, dropping Recoba to his feet and blasting him with his Party Pooper superkick. Mosh scrambled up the turnbuckle, connecting with his Party Crasher splash, picking up the three count and the win.
Victor: Chris Mosh (pin fall)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "And it's a debut win here tonight for Chris Mosh!"
Charlotte Wilson: "Cross Recoba will be bitterly, bitterly disappointed."
'The Shark': "Seems a few weeks away from the ring have done nothing to help Recoba."
Brad Tate: "Now, folks, our next match has a very special prize up for grabs. With the departure of Brooklyn Skye, her position in the Revolution main event has now opened up. The winner of this next match will be the man to join Aiden Morrow, Kitty Petrova and Katie Anderson in that Victory Title contest in two weeks."
Charlotte Wilson: "Not only that, but it's a tables match - at the request of the competitors, no less! Fitting, given what these two did last show."
'The Shark': "And you know, I can't even decide who will win. There's little to pick between the two men."
TABLES MATCH
Winner replaces Brooklyn Skye in Revolution main event.
Mr Hyde vs Jackson Ford
Emotions were running high before the match began with Ford showing more focus and determination than he had in the four way bout on Episode 3. They started with some basic wrestling until Hyde straight up sucker punched Ford in the jaw, earning "ooohs" and "ahhs" from the crowd. Ford was the first to roll out of the ring, rummaging for a table under the apron skirt. Instead he tossed a couple chairs out of the way. Hyde grabbed one just as Jackson found a table and as he straightened up, Hyde swung for the fences. Ford managed to get the table between himself and the blow meant for his head and the table slid through his hands, smashing into his knee. Hyde dropped the chair, opting for more brawling for the moment, driving Ford back against the ring steps only to miss a telegraphed knee to the midsection. Ford went for the chair and Hyde came off the steps, connecting with a DDT on the floor, on the chair. Ford looked out of it for a few seconds, long enough for Hyde to roll back into the ring, taking the table with him.
Ford followed him in, bringing the chair with him, oblivious to why the crowd is going nuts as Hyde tosses a small squeeze bottle over the ropes. The pair fought over the chair before Ford managed to wrest it away, smashing it into Hyde’s arm as he blocked his face. Shaking off the impact, Ford hesitated too long and Hyde retaliated by dropkicking the chair into Ford’s knee. Ford came back with a huge haymaker punch and then a hip toss out of nowhere onto the chair. He tried to set Hyde up for a suplex through the table only to get his knee worked over again by a trip and a mudhole stomping. Hyde took a few steps back, looking like he was going to let Ford regroup, instead pausing to light a cigarette that he had tucked behind his ear. He took a single drag and then flicked it on the table, the liquid that had been squirted there igniting as the crowd went bananas. Ford tried to fight back, feeling the heat as Hyde dragged him up and went for a sunset flip bomb but Hyde recovered and took Ford down with a powerslam that narrowly missed the still-burning table.
Ford got hold of the chair again and locked Hyde up into an STF around the chair. Mockingly, Hyde tapped and Ford broke the hold on instinct. Ford got up and Hyde grabbed the chair, whipping it. Ford ducked and Hyde hit him with a spear. They both go THROUGH THE FLAMES, over the table to huge crowd noise and somehow, there was still fire burning! Hyde was first to his feet and with Ford’s head inches from the fallen chair, looked like he was about to go for Ragnarok. Ford staggered out of the way at the last possible second and then spun. He caught Hyde from behind and landed a solid forearm to the back of the neck. From there he nailed a Silent Night right through the table. The crowd went nuts, screaming “HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!” as Ford rolled away from the smoldering debris, hand raised in victory.
Victor: Jackson Ford (put Mr. Hyde through the table)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "And it's Jackson, Jackson is the fourth man in the Revolution main event!"
Charlotte Wilson: "What a match, what a win!"
'The Shark': "Ford...or whatever he's called should be proud of this win."
Brad Tate: "And he goes on to face Katie Anderson and the competitors in tonight's main event, Aiden Morrow and Kitty Petrova."
Charlotte Wilson: "And that match, folks, is next!"
'The Shark': "Crazy! Tonight's show is amazing."
ONE-ON-ONE
Aiden Morrow vs Kitty Petrova
The match began with both competitors talking trash. Kitty threw her usual sarcastic barbs, but Aiden remained cool throughout. He circled around her, just smirking at her, which seemed to send Kitty irate. She launched forward but Aiden side stepped her attack. He countered, a quick right hand, which she retaliated to with one of her own.
The two exchanged blows until Aiden missed with a right and Kitty scored a left, right combo. Reeling, Aiden found himself up against the ropes. Kitty Irish whipped him into a short arm clothesline, flooring him. She followed up with stomps to various parts of his body; hands, wrist, elbow, knees - slowly taking her time to pick him apart. Scooping Aiden from the mat, Kitty floored him again with a Russian legsweep, transitioning it into a cross armbreaker.
Aiden tried to free himself, rolling to his side and hoping to break her grip, but Kitty just yanked back harder. He reached out to the ropes but found himself too far away. Trying rolling toward Kitty again, Aiden managed to get to his knees. He lashed out, striking her in her face, forcing Kitty to break the hold. Both competitors stood, Aiden rotating his arm to try and regain full sensation after the submission hold.
Kitty charged and Aiden ducked, her missed clothesline bringing her to the ropes. She turned, only to see Aiden's foot coming straight for her with the Pele kick, blasting her back toward the ropes. Aiden stood, taking hold of Kitty, hoisting her up into a suplex and then dropping her gut first to the ropes, leaving her bent over the top rope. He moved to the turnbuckle, posing for the crowd for a moment, then ran and struck her temple with a knee, knocking her back into the ring and down to the mat.
Dragging Kitty by an arm and a leg, Aiden moved her into an ideal position and charged, rebounding off the ropes and flipping, landing a running shooting star press. He hooked the leg, but Kitty got her shoulder up at two. Taking a moment to catch his breath, Aiden said something to Kitty, standing and taunting her, waiting for her to stand. She stirs, slowly rising, looking a little groggy.
Aiden grabbed her, looking for the NO FLX ZONE, but Kitty resisted, wriggling free. She turned, landing a spinning heel kick. Moving onto the ring apron, Kitty waited for Morrow to stand again. As he did she jumped up, leaping at him, only to see him sidestep her Liar, Liar. She landed on her feet, rolling, quickly standing and walking straight into a sitout jawbreaker.
With Kitty grounded, Aiden took a moment to catch his breath. He stood, dragging her up, but she stomped down hard onto his foot, managing to follow up with a shining apprentice. As both competitors looked to take a moment to recover, Jackson Ford came running down the ramp, chair in hand. He slid in, first striking Kitty down and then Aiden not long after. The referee called for the bell, before he too ate a chair shot. As Ford posed, Katie Anderson stepped out onto the entrance ramp, and the two stared each other down.
Victor: N/A (non-contest)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
Brad Tate: "What the hell was that?!"
Charlotte Wilson: "That was Jackson making a hell of a statement, Brad."
'The Shark': "I don't know, knowing those two, taking Petrova and Morrow out may only serve to rile them up, and nobody wants them pissed off in an already high stakes match come Revolution."
Brad Tate: "That's true enough. But for now, it's Jackson who stands tall, with Katie looking on, unwilling to help her rivals."
Charlotte Wilson: "Now that's smart thinking. She has zero need to run to their rescue, but is still making herself known."
'The Shark': "Wilson, Tate, I don't know about you two but I can't wait to see these four tear the house down at Revolution."
Brad Tate: "Oh, I'm with you there buddy. And with the Victory Championship on the line, it's sure to be a memorable contest."
Charlotte Wilson: "I think we can all agree to that."
'The Shark': "Yes, yes we can."
Brad Tate: "But for tonight, from Charlotte and Victory Wrestling, it's goodnight. We'll see you next time for our first ever super show: Revolution!
Charlotte Wilson: "Goodnight!"
