I stood there in the tiny apartment I was renting in Charlotte and my foot tapped against my floor in a bit of an impatient manner. My face was twisted up in an annoyed manner and the hand on my hip just embodied me having an attitude. My eyes were shifted over at a quite large man with my all pink iPhone in his hand. My impatience was getting the best of me and I couldn’t prevent it from shining through.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Well, what do you make of that?!
My tone of voice certainly carried itself with a little bit of attitude behind it. The huskier man looked up from the phone brieftly and looked me in my eyes.
D A V I D ☆ H E A R D ( toughest lawyer ) I think that you’ve got yourself a small case here.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) What do you mean a small case? It’s there in black and white. He threatened me. More so than anything else he threatened my livelihood and my job.
D A V I D ☆ H E A R D ( toughest lawyer ) Well honestly Brooklyn, that’s a little sketchy and I’m not so sure that if you decided to pursue legal matters that it would hold up very well in court.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) How wouldn’t it hold up?! It’s all right there in black and white.
D A V I D ☆ H E A R D ( toughest lawyer ) Not so much, seeing as it wasn’t a clear threat. Sure, he referred to you as someone that was poorly representing the company with your actions. The same thing you were saying about Mrs. Rivera. But he didn’t flat out threaten your career, though I could see why you took it that way.
His words lingered in my ears and they weren’t exactly something I wanted to hear. In fact it was something that was frustrating me a little more than I already was. He started to extend my phone back in my direction. I was quick to swipe it right from his hand.
D A V I D ☆ H E A R D ( toughest lawyer ) I’m aware that this doesn’t make you very happy. It isn’t exactly very ideal, but as your lawyer. I’ve got to tell you this is one of those battles that isn’t worth fighting. It isn’t going to end well for you in the end.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Then what the hell am I supposed to do? Am I just meant to deal with someone in power talking to me like that? Am I just meant to go to work fearing what a man that makes every decision involving me screwing me over all because I spoke up against someone that was wrong? Am I not meant to value myself or my abilities? Instead just be a little puppet like ninety percent of the roster, stroke his ego to make sure my spot is safe?
D A V I D ☆ H E A R D ( toughest lawyer ) I’m not saying all of that either, but at the same time Brooklyn. I am not going to lie to you here. You’ve got yourself between a rock and a hard place. You spoke your mind. You did the right thing. You certainly don’t have to stand for being threatened by a man that clearly does poor business and is going to drive his own business into the ground. But at the same time speaking up while you’re under contract and having no one that’s in power to oppose the way he’s doing things. You’re putting yourself at risk to being treated unfairly.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) This would be my luck, the first major promotion I sign with and I’m risking all my hard work being flushed down the drain. All because of the jackass and the staff he surrounds himself in having control.
With the frustration settling in a little more. I tossed my phone down on the couch and flopped myself down right beside it. All I wanted to do when I came to Victory Wrestling was prove that I belonged and do whatever it took to be one of the best. But in a few exchange of tweets that goal seemed to almost be impossible. All because I had spoken out. Sighing to myself, I could hear David speak up again.
D A V I D ☆ H E A R D ( toughest lawyer ) Sorry, I couldn’t be more helpful in this case Brooklyn. But if you’re wanting me to still look over the legalistics when it comes to your contract I’m more than happy to do so.
I just looked at him for a brief moment and kind of shook my head about. The frustration just finally boiling over to the point I just didn’t want to deal with it anymore.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Don’t worry about it right now. Hell, for all I know just letting you look at my contract might get me in some type of trouble and threatened in a roundabout way.
D A V I D ☆ H E A R D ( toughest lawyer ) If you say, but just know that the offer is there.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) I appreciate it, but it sounds like right now the last thing I need to do is make things worse for myself..
Based off my response and the general attitude that I was carrying myself with. David didn’t bother to offer any other words, only nodding his head almost like he agreed or at least understood. Watching him walk towards of the apartment and let himself at. As soon as the door shut behind him, I lifted my legs up on my couch and sprawled out a little further. My hands raking through my hair while I stared off into space. I found myself in what was described a rock and a hard place. I literally had to decide what was more important. My career, my goals, and my values.
Or the company that I worked for.If I chose my career, goals, and values. I knew it was a guarantee I was going to have to work elsewhere. But I chose the company then that was a guarantee I’d be very unhappy, have to deal with constant bullshit, and be treated poorly until I decided to start being a kiss ass like everyone else seemingly was. This was one of those situations where I was very quickly regretting being a woman that spoke up and had a voice, for it had landed me in this trouble. All I knew is a decision was going to have to be made before long.
NAUGHTY LIST scene two
Over the last few weeks things hadn’t been very ideal for me and now in less than twenty four hours I would find myself headed into the Victory Studios to take my part on Episode Three. I had a very unsettling feeling in my stomach, that the moment I arrived there was going to be all types of hell to pay. I was either going to be pulled into an office and yelled at. Or there was something more extreme that could end up happening. More extremes that I didn’t want to think about or it wasn’t going to improve my mood. Let alone my feelings towards the company at all. However I was going to fulfill my commitments and it started today.
Cameras rolling in at that very moment found themselves focused on a very Christmas like theme. There was a large Christmas tree full of decorations and bright bulbs flashing many different colors. Presents were stacked high under the tree. Ranging from small to large to even larger. Off in the background was a nice warming fireplace that was going that surely kept the room nice and cozy. With a small press of the zoom button the cameras revealed yours truly sitting there in a big chair. I was decked out in an adult sized Snowman onesie. In my right hand was a clipboard and in the left was a marker.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Mia Rivera... Hmm...
Tapping the marker against the side of my lip with the action of being in “deep thought” just as a smirk crossed my lips.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) That goofy bucktoothed reindeer has certainly made the Naughty List this year.
That grin of mine only seemed to get a little bigger with my marker pressing against the clipboard making a little check mark on the Naughty Side. Leading down the list of names on that clipboard. There was one that really popped out at my attention that moment. One that should have popped out at my attention considering in less than twenty four hours.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Aiden Morrow... Where do I put you sir? Are you on the Naughty List this year? Or are you on the Good List? Hmmm, that’s quite the tough decision.
The marker tapped against my lip a little bit. Until I swung my feet from the arm of the chair and found myself in the upright sitting position. Placing the clipboard and the marker down on the arm of the air. Shifting my eyes to the cameras at that moment and finally acknowledging that they were there.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) I have to admit prior to our most recent exchange on social media Aiden. I had a lot of respect for you. You seemed to be a lot like me in the sense that you were a young kid that was trying to come up in this business. Not only were you trying to come up, but you were determined to prove yourself. Willing to fight with everything you had. Refusing to accept no for an answer.
Nodding my head a little bit. I was not clueless or blind. I was a woman that could see as well as respect talent when I saw it. It always helped when someone carried a similar thought process as me, because they were fighting for the right things instead of all the wrong things.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) From what I had established. You were someone that knew how to check your ego at the door and willing to do the work to be successful. Success that you’ve been getting every single week since Victory Wrestling had been established. In fact we have that in common too Aiden. No one expected you to do as well as you’ve done. No one expected you to have the success that you’ve got. No one expected you to fight and earn your way into the Heavyweight Championship match at Revolution. The same thing people thought of me, but with hard work and determination. We’ve proved them wrong.
I loved that about you and that was making me look forward to meeting you at Revolution. Regardless of who else might have ended up in the match. I was looking forward to the two of us being against each other and more so looking forward to the two of us seeing to it that the match came down to just one of us for that Heavyweight Championship. Then in just a matter of a couple of tweets. Not only did you manage to kill that excitement, because it seems that you proved your true colors. But you also made me lose any amount of respect I did have for you. Just like that it was right out the window.
Based on the tone of my voice. It was pretty much a given that Aiden left a sour taste in my mouth. I went from speaking so highly of him, and then just like that it was like he was one of the worst people I had ever come in contact with. Believe it or not people were fickle in this world so it happened quite a bit with people changing who they were and therefore resulting in people that might have liked them or this case respected them feeling the opposite.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) I’ll be the first to admit that I might have went overboard on social. I’ll even be the first to admit that maybe with what happened. It was not really my battle to be fighting and maybe just maybe I should have stayed out of it, but I couldn’t. As someone that has been mocked for her looks, for the color of her skin, and at times being mocked just because of my gender. I felt that someone had to stand up and someone needed to say something. I thought that it was seriously distasteful for a company official of any kind to be taking part in bullying someone. Much less cyber bullying a young woman who was a fan of this product and a fan of this promotion.
Mia can lie as much as she wants and say that she wasn’t mocking her. She can plead her innocence and claim that she apologied, but as far as I am concerned. She’s the worst type of human being. She made a young woman feel bad about herself, made her lose interest as a fan of Victory Wrestling, and then carried herself as if she didn’t do anything wrong. That legitimately pissed me off and I felt like Mia should have been fired for it. Hell, till this very day I still feel like that but I know it isn’t going to happen so there’s no point in me continuing to waste my breathe. However what does that have to do with you right Aiden? Well, it has a lot to do with you considering you decided to chime in.
You were quick to come running to your boss’s aid in a situation that had nothing to do with you. People jump my ass because it was none of my concern, but no one jumped your ass. Shocking right? But the issue that really gets under my skin is you were just going toe to toe with Vortex over him savagely beating a referee for a biased decision that he met. You agreed that the referee was wrong and deserved to be punished, but being beaten by a company official. You claimed it was out of line, uncalled for, ad way over the top especially with Vortex being in charge of the company. Yet it’s okay for Mia to mock fans and make them feel bad?
Better yet, you seem to be perfectly fine with Vortex not doing anything when it comes to a punishment for Mia. Sure, it was quote unquote handled behind closed doors but that’s nothing more than a cop out. It’s something he put out there to save his ass because he knew Victory Wrestling was on the verge of getting a very bad reputation for what his staff member did, but at the same time he is like you Aiden. He didn’t see anything wrong with it, which is why he didn’t handle it properly and why he got shitty when I called him out on it to the point he more or less threatened me. And there’s another shocker right there Aiden, you didn’t have a problem with how you talked to me.
Going over this was starting to make my blood boil just a little bit. It had me heated when it all happened, but now it was on a different level because I was forcing myself to relive it all. Boy oh boy I hoped that Aiden came prepared because when we stepped into that ring I planned to hit him hard to get all this rage out of my system.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Then of course there was the comments that you made that were something along the lines that this was wrestling and if I couldn’t have tougher skin about comments being made, then I didn’t belong in this business and I didn’t belong in Victory Wrestling. You were quoted in telling me to quit. Well, let me just go ahead and put it out there like this. First and foremost Aiden, it seems you don’t know how the business works and I’ve got no problem breaking kayfabe to make you look bad. Last time I checked you described yourself to be a good guy, a humble person, and a family man. You were a man that was honest and respected everyone you share a ring with.
Well, good guys don’t defend the evil boss man. Good guys also don’t make it seem like it’s okay for people to be called names. Good guys don’t tell people to get tougher skin and good guys don’t tell people to quit, especially when they want competition. Competition that I know that I can give you. But what it sounds like to me is you made yourself sound more “heel” than anything else. You also made yourself sound like a complete and utter dumbass, but top it all off Aiden. You made yourself sound like a sexist pig that enjoys seeing women get put down and apparently you love trying to put them down yourself. Therefore the respect I had for you went out the window and now more than anything else you disgust me.
A certain amount of fire found itself burning in my eyes. I knew with each word that I let escape my mouth I was risking putting myself in a bigger hole than I was already in, but at the same time I was fed up. I didn’t care anymore. Whatever happened was going to happen. If I got fired, I got fired. If I got screwed over, then I got screwed over. Either way it wasn’t going to be the end of me. No one was going to break my spirit.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) You know come to think of it Aiden, I wonder if the mother of your child knows how much of a pig you are. Cause I’m pretty sure if she did, then she would have never agreed to bring a child into the world with such a worthless human being. And come to think of it all Aiden, I get why you wanted me to quit. It doesn’t have anything to do with your view changing of me. Sure, you probably think I’m a loud ass mouthy bitch who is nosey, but that’s not why you want me to quit. It isn’t because I made the company look bad or because I brought negativity to the company.
No, you want me to quit for the same reason everyone else wants me to quit. I’m good. I’m real good. So good that there is a very real possibility that I could leave with the Heavyweight Championship at Revolution and that scares people in charge. Because I’m the one person that doesn’t kiss ass. I’m the one person that doesn’t take people’s shit. I’m the one female that doesn’t find our boss attractive. And if the one woman who is different, if the one woman that takes a stand ends up with the richest prize then this woman can make the difference and you nor anyone else wants different or change.
Maybe just maybe some people might have considered the way that I was acting to be egotistical. That’s fine they had a right to feel the way they did. After all it was their opinion, but at the same time as much as people might have wanted to take it away from me they couldn’t. I was good, people knew it, and I continued to prove it.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) I’ll give Vortext credit for one thing though. He was smart enough to put the two of us against each other tomorrow night for Episode Three. Granted, he probably did it to “teach me a lesson” aka hope that I lose, but he still booked the match and therefore as long as I’ve got the match. I’ve always got a fighting chance because of my abilities. So for your sake Aiden, I hope that not only do you believe in your abilities but that you come prepared tomorrow night. For the moment that bell rings, it’s going to be a Christmas Nightmare for you. There won’t be any shaking hands. There won’t be any words of wisdom exchanged and there won’t be any mutual respect given. Instead the moment that bell rings I intend to forearm you in the mouth as hard as I can and knock your teeth down your throat!
My lips found themselves curving into a bit of a smirk. I’ll admit it I have gone off the deep end and I was the one that was making myself to look like the “bad guy” here, but I never claimed to be perfect or claimed to be an angel.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) When we get in the ring with each other I’m actually motivated to win. Normally, I’m all about putting on a great match and laying it all on the line. Giving it all I got. If I win, then I win. But if I lose, at least I lost by giving it my all. Yet this time that’s not the case at all. I want the win. I want the glory. I want the right to say that I’m better than you before I go on to ensure that you don’t win the championship at Revolution. I want the honor of beating you, so I can make you look bad in front of everyone. Worst than you already made yourself. And I want the ability of handing you the biggest L of 2016 as you go out on the naughty list as one of the worst human beings on the planet. Sorry, not sorry Aiden.
Picking up the list off the arm of the chair and taking the marker in my left hand. I quickly made a check mark next to his name to resemble being put on the naughty list for the year. Her eyes found themselves settling in on the cameras for one remaining brief moment.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Before I cut this off. I want to deliver a special message to a fan out there. You know who you are. I know that you won’t be tuning into watch this match and I completely understand as well as respect your decision to not support the company in any way at all. But with that being said I hope that by dishing out a little bit of punishment that somehow word gets back to you and it brightens up your Christmas. For no one deserves to be made fun or mocked for their appearances. You’re a beautiful soul inside and out. Let’s focus on making this world a better place by wiping negative people off the face of the planet.
She gave a brief smile right at the cameras with her final message seemingly delivered. This resulted in the camera man in charge of the cameras causing the recording to cut off which in return had the cameras fading to black. I had said way more than I had intended to say, but the truth of the matter was there was a lot to say. I had to get it all off my chest and even with words, it wasn’t going to be enough. I wouldn’t be able to put this past me and move on until I stepped into the ring with Aiden to deliver the punishment that I saw fit. Sure it wasn’t all his fault and in some aspects he was a scapegoat, but he did have it coming.
NO REGRETS scene three
Today was show day and I was a woman that was all business. That much was known just from the outfit that I had on. I just screamed “boss” as I stepped out of the rental car. I made my way around the back to where the trunk was to grab my things. My only real focus was getting in the ring tonight and making sure to rearrange Aiden’s face. I had a whole twenty four hours to think about the situation a little more and it only made me a little angrier. In pulling my bags out of the back of the trunk I shut it and then turned around but in turning around I was met with a small surprise. A young teenage girl was standing before me. She had a pen and a pad of paper in her hand, but appeared to be a little nervous. Smiling some and attempted to engage in conversation.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Hello there sweetheart, can I help you?
D A R L A ☆ M I T C H E L L ( fan of the year ) Maybe... That kind of depends.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Depends on what sugar?
D A R L A ☆ M I T C H E L L ( fan of the year ) I imagine that you’re a very busy woman, but would you mind signing an autograph for me? I’m a really-really big fan of yours.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Awww! Of course I will hun!
I let go of the suitcase handle that I had in my hand and removed my purse from my shoulder setting it down on top of the suitcase. Extending my hand outward and nearly right away the Teenager handed over the pad and pen from her hand into my own. Clipping the top of the pen and held it over the pad of paper.
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) What’s your name sweetheart?
D A R L A ☆ M I T C H E L L ( fan of the year ) Darla. It’s Darla Mitchell..
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Darla? Very pretty name, I don’t think I hear that too often these days. Tell your mother she’s something special for giving you such a beautiful name..
I watched the young girl’s face bright up with a smile. The pen pressed against the pad as I quickly signed it with a special message and left my autograph at the bottom. I turned the pad and pen back over to her as she took it from my hands with that same smile on her face.
D A R L A ☆ M I T C H E L L ( fan of the year ) Thank you so much!
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Don’t mention it sweetheart, it was my pleasure.
Grinning, I grabbed my purse and slid it back over my shoulder. Only to them grab a hold of the suitcase handle with the intentions of heading inside but before she could the teenager stopped me.
D A R L A ☆ M I T C H E L L ( fan of the year ) Just one last thing before you go. What you did last week for that fan, when you took a stand for her on twitter, and defended her against people. That was the greatest and bravest thing I’ve ever seen anyone do... I envied her, because I wish someone would stand up for me like that when I’m made fun of. When I’m called fat or when they say I have cankles. People are very cruel in this word, but you did the right thing. You stood up for that girl, and then it made me realize. I can be like you. I can stand up for myself. I can stand up for others. So, thank you so very much!
In that moment the teenager lunged forward and wrapped her arms around me for a tight embrace. For that brief moment I felt myself on the verge of wanting to cry. It bothered me as a human being that so many people were so cruel in the world, but at the same time I wanted to cry because what I did seemed to have inspired someone. I never aimed to be a role model or anything like that. I didn’t want gratification, but I just wanted to do the right thing. In doing the right thing it seemed to have helped someone else that needed it. I felt her arms leave my waist as she looked up at me.
D A R L A ☆ M I T C H E L L ( fan of the year ) Good luck in your match tonight. I’ll be rooting you on!
B R O O K L Y N ☆ S K Y E ( highlight of the night ) Thank you sweetheart. I’ll be doing my best to make sure that I don’t let you or any of my other fans down! Just make sure you guys are real loud for me!
In that being said I saw her smile get a little brighter before she stepped out of my way allowing me to go on about my business. Sure enough that’s what I did pulling my suitcase along the way. There was still that urge to let a few tears slip down my cheeks, but I held them back. Because in that moment it all made sense to me and it all became clear. Even though people said I gave a company a bad name. Even though people were pissed off at me because I opened my mouth. Even though there was a chance I was going to get punished. I realized that I did the right thing and therefore I had no regrets.
[Off Camera] [Technology] [3 PM on December 21st, 2016] [Aiden’s Home in Santa Monica, CA]
Sofie sits on the couch, her arms and hands resting in the back of it, her chin propped on them as she stares over the back of the couch waiting for Aiden to get home... She taps her finger against the soft plush material a little impatiently, her long blonde and brown hair hanging loose down her back and half over her face. Off down the hall you can hear the sounds of toys and playing coming from AJ's bedroom, the Xbox in question sitting on the lounge floor looking untouched but there’s also no exterior damage. A few moments pass when Aiden walks through the door and heads towards the living room where Sofie is sitting. When his eyes catch hers, he grins.
Aiden Morrow: "So show me how much trouble you're in!"
She smiles slightly and turns on the couch to point at the Xbox
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I didn't touch it again, since you know... I did enough damage already..."
Sofie gives him puppy dog eyes as she watches him. Aiden looks over at the Xbox and then back into her puppy dog eyes and he smiles. He slides onto the couch next to her before leaning in and kissing her softly. He leans back and fixates his eyes on hers.
Aiden Morrow:"Babe, it's an Xbox. I don't care about possessions like that. It has no meaning." He grabs her hand. "But us? It has meaning and I wouldn't get mad at you over an accident."
Sofie looks down at their hands and then back at him, smiling she leans in and kisses him softly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I love you..."
She breathes the words like a second nature as she looks into his eyes and smiles wider
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "And you know, they have insane technology now, replacing iPhone screens..."
She nods over at the Xbox.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Fixing game systems...."
She looks back at him and bites her bottom lip slightly
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "They can do almost anything within a couple of weeks, you know? Any information at all.."
He laughs and shakes his head.
Aiden Morrow: "Babe, it's just a game. Honestly, I don't even have time for it and AJ is always on the IPad."
He laughs softly.
Aiden Morrow:"You're being weird about this whole technology though."
She tilts her head slightly with a small nod.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Well.. yeah, you're right you don't really have time for it anyway huh?"
She looks into his eyes again and another smile plays across her lips.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I'm being weird? Sorry I'm not.."
She bites her bottom lip again with a small sigh.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Not trying to be weird I just... I don't know maybe I am being a little weird."
She laughs slightly and leans in to kiss him, she lingers in the kiss for a long moment before she sits back, still staying close to him as she stares into his eyes. He looks back into hers as he brushes a bit of hair out from her face. He can't help but smile as he watches her.
Aiden Morrow; “"So what's on your mind, you goof!
Aiden smirks as he furrows his brow. Sofie’s eyes study his face for a moment before she sits back, glancing at the Xbox and then back at him she wrinkles her nose up slightly
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Okay so... I didn't really drop it..."
She chews on the inside of her cheek slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "It didn't get hit with a Wii remote like I said in the text message either!"
She laughs slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "It's fine I was just uh... Trying to be clever..."
His nose curls before he smiles and laughs while shaking his head.
Aiden Morrow: "Clever? Clever for what?"
He laughs again and lets out a sigh as he gazes into her eyes.
Aiden Morrow: "God, you freaking adorable.”
Sofie blushes slightly and tilts her head
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Adorable huh?"
She settles her eyes back on his.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "With that whole... technological advances... The things you can find out in as little as two weeks..."
Sofiehe clears her throat and laughs as Aiden listens on with a confused look on his face.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I guess I over thought that one."
Aiden lets out a laugh and starts to ponder what she said and he tilts his head, looking at her with a questioning look.
Aiden Morrow: "You seem pretty nervous and you keep mentioning technological advances. What're you getting on about?"
She raises a brow slightly shifting her eyes for a moment and then back to him.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Ha, um I guess the technology thing was a weird way to take this..."
Sofie bites her bottom lip and reaches behind her, pulling something out of her back pocket she keeps her hand behind her back.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "It's not really technical.. yeah, that was a weird way to take this."
Aiden’s brow furrows as he watches her arm move while she talks. He then points at it.
Aiden Morrow: "So... You've got something to show me?"
She nods, touching her other hand to his furrowed brow, leaning in a little closer to hush her voice slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Yeah..."
Aiden peers into her eyes and smiles to try and make her feel comfortable since he can tell she's really nervous.
Aiden Morrow: "Babe, it's me. You know whatever it is, you can tell me. I love you no matter what, alright?"
He smiles reassuringly as she slets out a long, slow breath and nods with a smile.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Alright..."
She pulls her hand out from her back and holds a pregnancy test in it that reads 'pregnant 2-3weeks' on it, she holds it out to him, watching his face silently waiting to read his reaction. Aiden’s eyes widen in surprise as he looks down at the pregnancy test. He glances back and forth at it and Sofie before finally resting his eyes on hers. He's clearly in shock and for a moment, he's lost for words.
Aiden Morrow: "I-Um... you're pregnant!?"
He keeps his eyes on her in disbelief. He's not upset or anything but he's clearly shocked. She nods slightly and looks down at the test
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "That's one of five..."
She looks back at him and bites her bottom lip with a shaky breath.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I wanted to be, you know... sure..."
He leans in and grabs her cheeks before kissing her softly. Leaning back, he keeps his hands on her face as he looks into her eyes.
Aiden Morrow: "Is... Is this what you want? I don't want you to be forced to throw away all of your dreams. Finishing college, wrestling, all of it."
She smiles and turns her head slightly to kiss his hand and then the other one, before looking back into his eyes.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I only have three months left of school and wrestling... I'm young.. I can go back to it if that's what I decide, but us..."
Sofie leans in and kisses him, resting her forehead against his.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "You're my dream.. the rest if it? Take it or leave it but you.. us... our family, that's what matters..."
She bites her bottom lip again and pulls back slightly, looking just over his shoulder before back at his face, not meeting his eyes.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "But if this isn't what you want... I don't want you to be forced into this either..."
He listens to her intently as she speaks and when she's finishes, he adamantly shakes his head.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Babe, I don't feel forced into this at all. I love you and I love that we're going to have a freaking family together. I'm just... in shock right now. This doesn't feel real to me. We're gonna have a baby."
A huge grin runs over his face as he glances down at the test again and frowns a little bit as something crosses his mind.
She watches him go from a smile to a frown at immediately her brow furrows as she watches him
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "What's wrong?”
He sighs and shakes his head.
Aiden Morrow: "Nothing’s wrong with you, my love. I just need to make this right. Veronica is going to sign those divorce papers finally. I don't give a damn.”
She hooks her finger under his chin and tilts his head to face hers, looking into his eyes she half whispers
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Aiden.... We're going to have a baby..."
She shakes her head slowly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: “All that stuff... we can figure it out, just take a second and think about that..."
She smiles her eyes staring into his overcome with emotion as she wells up slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "You, and me, a baby..."
Aiden wraps his arms around her and pulls her close into him in an embrace.
She laughs slightly and rests her head on his shoulder
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Girl, huh?"
She whispers playfully.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Maybe if you say that enough the baby will hear you…”
He squeezes her tightly.
Aiden Morrow: "Girl, girl, girl, girl, girl!! You hear me baby? You better listen to your father a be a girl."
He laughs before kissing Sofie on the cheek and then leaning back and smiling.
Aiden Morrow: "You have no idea how happy I am right now."
She smiles and exhales with a small laugh
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I was so nervous.. I just..."
She looks at the smile on his face and can't help but grin, shaking her head.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I love you, I'm so happy... us, the house... our growing family… I feel so blessed."
She sighs happily and Aiden has a wide grin on his face..
Aiden Morrow: "We are blessed. Our family is. I can't believe we're having a baby. My mind is just... all over the place right now."
Aiden smiles again as Sofie laughs slightly and nods her head.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I am right there with you babe... I did the first test yesterday and use just been... trying to figure it all out.”
He leans in and kisses her again.
Aiden Morrow: "Hey, well now we both know and it's gonna be easier to figure out together."
He pauses and starts to think.
Aiden Morrow: "Oh and by the way, when we do eventually get married... That hyphenated last name has got to go."
He says playfully as she arches her brow with a smile.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "When we get married huh?"
Shaking her head slightly, she takes his hand.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I didn't tell anyone else yet... not even Kassi and I don't think we should, not until we get to that safe point..."
She chews her lip slightly and sighs
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Besides if Kass found out anyone else knew before her..."
Sofie squeezes his hand slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I'm so happy I just... I don't know if we SHOULD tell anyone yet.."
Aiden Morrow: "If that's what you want to do then sure. Even though it would be fun to piss off your dad before Christmas!"
He pauses and his jaw drops.
Aiden Morrow: ”"Oh my god, can we tell him on Christmas!? Please! That can be my Christmas present."
It's clear he's joking around. Sofie laughs softly and leans into him for a moment with a sigh...
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "We can tell people whenever you want I just... don't want to not tell people together and I don't want it affecting your career or being a target or..."
She tilts her head slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: ”And what did you mean when we do eventually get married?"
Aiden Morrow: "Yeah, I hear you but I'm not afraid of it affecting my career. It won't. I'm not scared of what people may think or say or try to use against me."
He pauses and grins.
Aiden Morrow: "And what about getting married? I don't know what you're talking about! I said nothing!"
He smiles and then laughs playfully, trying to change the subject.
Sofie smiles slightly with a small sigh.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Well, if you're not worried about it then maybe we will tell my family... and your family...."
She pauses and tilts her head up to look at him.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "You're taking all of this really like... well..."
Her brow furrows slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "There's nothing bubbling under the surface? No pending freak out, cause... I'd understand if there was..."
He laughs lightly and shakes his head.
Aiden Morrow:"No, I think you know me well enough to know that I'm not going to suddenly freak out. I'm not going anywhere. I promise."
She smiles and takes a breath.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Is it ok if I'm freaking out a little bit?"
She laughs softly and kisses him.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Just a tiny bit I mean... It's… Wow.”
He rubs her shoulders and nods.
Aiden Morrow: "That's completely fine, babe. And I'm here the entire way to hold your hand through it all."
She squeezes his hand again and smiles.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "How did I get so lucky as to have your heart fall for mine?"
She places a hand on her stomach and shakes her head again.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I can't believe there's a tiny life growing in there...."
Aiden places his hand over Sofie's and smiles.
Aiden Morrow: "I can believe it. This is one of the best days of my life because I know that I'm making a family with the love of my life. You didn't get lucky with me, I got lucky with you."
She grins and looks back up into his eyes.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Thank goodness we bought this house huh?"
She glances down to hall as AJ makes a loud noise with one of his toys, then back at him.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "How do you think AJ is gonna take it?"
He laughs and shrugs his shoulders.
Aiden Morrow: "I don’t know, I can’t really say for certain. But I think he'll be excited at first but once that baby comes out, his attitude may change once he's not getting all the attention."
She smirks and nods.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "We will have to make sure he still feels special.. and very important.."
Sofie leans in and kisses him again, her thumb stroking the back of his hand on her stomach
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I can't believe that we're building this family, in our home..."
She laughs softly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "And you can tell my dad... I'd never take that joy away from you."
She pokes her tongue out playfully.
He leans his forehead on hers and gazes into her eyes.
Aiden Morrow: "You're fucking wonderful. Seriously. I'm so glad my path led me to you... To this."
She slides into his lap, kissing him passionately as her hands run over his shoulders as she finally breaks the kiss with a small, coy smile...
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "So, a girl huh? I don't know.... I think you'd spoil a girl way too much..."
He wraps his arms around her and shrugs.
Aiden Morrow: "I already spoil the boy enough. Do you really think I'd go overboard with a girl?"
She laughs.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Uh yes, primadonna princess before she can talk!" She kisses his cheek with a happy smile... "You are such a wonderful, kind hearted father and I know, girl.. or boy, our baby is lucky to have you."
Aiden Morrow: ”You mean they’re lucky to have us.”
He leans in and kisses her softly.
[Off Camera] [The Proposal] [5 PM on December 22nd, 2016] [Aiden’s Home in Santa Monica, CA]
Sofie sits on the couch flicking small folded triangles of Christmas wrapping paper at Aiden across the couch, she smirks each time one of them hits him, waiting for him to look up from his phone. Each time he glances up and she smiles and looks away as if she didn't do anything. Finally he grabs one of Christmas triangles and flicks it back at her and nails her right in the head with the first one and he bursts into laughter.
Aiden Morrow: "One for one! I'm shooting 100%"
He playfully grins. Sofie pouts and shakes her head with a whiney noise.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Sooo mean, omg!"
She puts out her bottom lip to emphasise her pout and picks up the triangle and flicks it back at him, missing entirely.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Nice to see I have your attention! What's so interesting on your phone hmmm?"
She sticks her tongue out and Aiden shrugs.
Aiden Morrow: "Nothing, just talking to people and stuff."
She slides down the couch towards with a smirk and rests her head on his shoulder, nuzzling his neck gently with a soft sigh she kisses his neck once before returning her head to his shoulder.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "And stuff like... trolling my sister, Kass?"
He laughs and nods his head.
Aiden Morrow: ]"That's one thing, yes! I see you told her."
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Yeah, I figured probably should tell her first before other people know...."
She tilts her head to look at him locking her gaze on his.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "So, who else do you wanna tell? Aside from my dad who comes into town Friday...."
Aiden Morrow: "Well, obviously my parents need to know…. But I kinda told someone..."
She furrows her brow slightly. Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Oh? Who did you tell before your parents!?"
She half smiles and looks back into his eyes.
Aiden Morrow: "I don't know why I told her but I kinda just wanted to tell someone who wouldn't tell anyone I know. So I told Paz."
He bites his lip as he looks at Sofie. She nods slightly and sits back, leaning against the couch as she stares at him for a long moment, letting out a breath.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Okay...."
She leans her arm on the back of the couch and rests her head against it.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I'm sure she had some wonderful things to say about it."
She rolls her eyes and he laughs awkwardly before shaking his head.
Aiden Morrow: "Come on babe, don't be like that… She actually tried giving advice on some things."
Sofie frowns and shakes her head.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Don't be like what? Last I heard you weren't going to actively seek friendship and now you're telling me the one person who gets under your skin and messes with your head... Is the FIRST person you told about the baby...."
She folds her arms over her chest and turns her nose up slightly, obviously irritated.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "What possible advice could she have?"
He rubs his hand over her shoulder gently, trying to calm her down.
Aiden Morrow: "She told me..."
He pauses and frowns.
Aiden Morrow: "I can't tell you. Well, I can. But now isn't the time, babe. Can you just trust me?"
She laughs slightly and moves off of the couch, standing up and keeping her arms folded.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I trust you.. Don't... don't even question that after everything… It's not case of trusting you... you sought out someone you know I don't like the influence of and now you won't even tell me what you talked about?"
He stands up and stays calm as he peers into her eyes.
Aiden Morrow: "I understand why you're upset. I just... I don't know, I told Paz all along that we could be friends and we've figured it out, ya know? There's no more hard feelings."
He sighs as he keeps his eyes fixated on hers before he gently shrugs.
Aiden Morrow: "I didn't want it to be like this. But if you want to know then do one thing for me. Take a deep breath and calm down. Just do that one thing and I'll tell you."
She bites on her bottom lip for a moment, looking into his eyes she shakes her head slightly with a laugh
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "You worked it all out... Okay..."
Sofie nods slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I'm glad you worked t all out with the most antagonistic..."
She shakes her head with a sigh.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Doesn't matter."
She takes a deep breath, looking away from him and down at the floor she concentrates on muttering something under her breath, when she looks back up she does so with a smile and a much calmer tone.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Okay. I'm calm."
He steps up to her and grabs both of her hands and he keeps his eyes on hers and she can tell he's super emotional right now.
Aiden Morrow: ]"Sof, we haven't been in each other's lives for too long but I've never loved anyone like I love you already. The butterflies I feel in my stomach whenever I look at you drive me insane, but in a good way. You're literally the most beautiful human being I've ever known, inside and out. Everything about you is perfect. And what Paz told me I should do before we tell everyone that you're pregnant... Well, I haven't been able to get it off of my mind. I've been going crazy because I just want to do it and well..."
He drops to one knee and pulls out a ring box out of his pocket and opens it up, showing an engagement ring.
Aiden Morrow: "Sofie, will you marry me?"
His brow furrows as he waits for her answer in anticipation, looking nervous as hell.
She stares down at him for a long moment, her eyes move to the ring box and then back to his face, she takes a breath as she tries to steady herself to respond..
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I..."
She swallows hard.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Are you asking me to marry you because I'm pregnant?"
She drops down to her knees to be on his level and she half smiles.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I love you... I love you so fucking much it doesn't even bare thinking about.. but, getting married because we're going to have a baby…”
She shakes her head slowly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "That's no reason to get married... that's what my mom did and..."
She sighs softly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I do love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, but I want you to ask because this is something you want... not because it's what other people tell you is the right thing to do."
He stands up and grabs both of her hands to bring her up with him as he keeps his eyes on hers.
Aiden Morrow: "No, Sof, that's not what it is."
He sighs and shakes his head.
Aiden Morrow: "I know it sounds like that. But what I'm saying is that Paz saying we should get engaged made me realize that I DO want to marry you."
He takes a deep breath and continues.
Aiden Morrow: "It's why I've been trying and trying to get Veronica to sign the divorce papers. Because I already know that this moment was coming before I even knew you were pregnant. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want you to maybe one day consider AJ as your own son. I want to raise this child with you and I want to fucking marry you."
He keeps his eyes on hers and nods.
Aiden Morrow: "So what if it took a couple of things to make me realize it and man up and do it. It's what I want... But if it's not what you want right now, I'll understand."
She smiles and moves closer, stepping up she places both of her hands on his cheeks and laughs slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "We bought a house together... I'm pregnant with your child... You really think marriage is the big commitment I'll be scared to make?"
She rolls her eyes slightly in a playful way, leaning in close she kisses him, wrapping her arms around the back of his neck as she leans deep into the kiss before breaking it, just pulling back.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Of course I want to marry you..."
She steps back with a grin and nods down at her stomach then looks back up at him with another smile.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "You, AJ and this peanut growing in here..."
She runs her hand across her abdomen.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "You are my whole world... I wouldn't give that up for anything."
He places his hand over hers that's on her abdomen and he smiles.
Aiden Morrow: "I love you and this little peanut inside of. I love that you and me created a life together and in like nine months, he's going to be here with us. With you, me and AJ."
He leans in and kisses her softly.
Aiden Morrow: "So... was that a yes though?"
He says playfully as he grins. She laughs and nods her head, kissing him softly
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Yeah... Yes, I'll marry you, you goof."
She leans in and kisses him again, leaning her forehead against his, she smirks slightly and lets out a small sigh.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I love you... And you're definitely the one telling my dad about all of this."
He wraps his arms around her back and pulls her into him before stealing a kiss from her.
Aiden Morrow"I'll gladly tell him and the rest of the world. If they have a problem with it then they'll have to deal with... You!”
She laughs and nods her head.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Yeah, I'm super intimidating... That's why everyone listens to me right... Wait no... Only person around here who listens to me is Kai."
She smirks slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Present company included."
She sticks out her tongue slightly to tease him.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "And I think I'd rather tell the world that my dad... I don't even understand why he's coming here, Kass doesn't want to see him and we haven't talked since..."
She rolls her eyes slightly and looks into his with a grin,
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "You disrespected him in such a grand and.... incredibly sexy fashion."
He grins while shrugging his shoulders.
Aiden Morrow: "Hey, I do what I do, ya know?"
He then starts to rub his hand over her abs.
Aiden Morrow: "You know, I think you got pregnant when you saw me go at your dad like that. I was just so sexy in that moment that BOOM! Immaculate conception!"
He leans in and kisses her and can't help but smile through the kiss.
Aiden Morrow: "Yeah, I'm going to hell, aren't I?"
She laughs against his lips and pushes him away playfully with a shake of her head.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Fast track baby, not enough Hail Marys in the world."
Something suddenly hits realisation for her and she frowns a little furrowing her brow with a small sigh. A concerned look rolls across his face as he notices her demeanor.
Aiden Morrow: "Hey, is something wrong, babe?"
She smiles and shrugs slightly.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Just occurred to me that I won't be teaching Sunday school much longer huh..."
She places her hand back on her stomach with another shrug.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I don't care though..."
She then smirks at him and wiggles the fingers on her left hand at him.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "You wanna finish that proposal off properly?"
She winks at him in a playful way. He smiles brightly as he gets back down on his knee and pulls out the ring again.
Aiden Morrow: "Sofie Taylor-Moore, this ring represents more than just me and you. It represents AJ and that little one growing inside of you; it represents our family. So with that being said, would you make me the happiest man in the universe and marry me?"
She laughs slightly and nods her head, her eyes begin to spring with tears as she takes a breath and bends down to kiss him, keeping her hand on his cheek as she stays close to his face.
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "Yes...."
She grins and kisses him again
Sofie Taylor-Moore: "I love you."
He kisses her back before standing up and embracing her in a tight hug.
Aiden Morrow: "I love you too, future Mrs. Morrow."
[On Camera] [Come Prepared] [7:30 AM on Christmas Eve] [Charlotte, North Carolina]
The scene opens up with Aiden Morrow sitting down in his hotel room. He’s recording Sofie sitting next to AJ who had just opened a Christmas gift from Sofie; a monster truck. AJ moves it around the ground making rumbling noises and Aiden and Sofie can't help but laugh. Aiden, who’s recording with his iPhone, speaks up.
Aiden Morrow: ”Hey Sof, I'll be right back. Going to go outside and cut this promo.”
She looks up at him and smiles and nods. Aiden makes his way out to the balcony and flips the camera around before holding it up so that he can be seen. He’s wearing a white T, a blue jean jacket and blue jeans. He smirks at the camera before he begins his promo.
Aiden Morrow: ”Sometimes I like to believe that we all show up to our jobs prepared. That we focus on our opponents and the task at hand. Sadly, I don’t think that’s the case when it pertains to my opponent. Over the last few weeks, she’s given veiled statements on her standing here in Victory. Brooklyn said that she was ready to fight for Victory but now she’s conflicted on that because some secretary for Vortex was mean to her ‘number one fan’. Brooklyn and her friends made sure to tear down Victory Wrestling as a whole and lay blame on Vortex, demanding that he fire Mia for her one tiny comment; while most of the damage had been done by Ally Morrow, Tyson Gregory and Mongoose, competitors not signed to Victory.”
“It seems to me that Brooklyn wanted to cause a problem and make a big deal out of nothing. While I don’t like Vortex either, I think this was idiotic to waste your time on. And then when I went to tell Brooklyn good luck for our match, she went on about how it might not even go down because she decided to create a mountain over a molehill. So now I’ve been waiting the past two weeks to see where Brooklyn stands on our match and there hasn’t been much of a peep out of her. All she’s said so far is that this could be her, ‘last match.’ Cryptic messages from the girl who cried wolf.”
Aiden shrugs and rolls his eyes.
Aiden Morrow: ”Let’s not even start on her last tweet about breaking ‘kayfabe’ because she just doesn’t care anymore. What? Are you going to drop a pipebomb on us? What do you really have to complain about? You’ve been placed in great position here and have had success in your matches but you still find reasons to bitch and moan, you still find reasons to cause problems with everyone. But hey maybe your big thing to say is about your big changes and big announcement that we have been waiting for. Whatever it is, I’m sure it’s going to be a major let down and a total bitch fest because clearly that’s what you do… You bitch, bitch and bitch!”
“Normally I don’t get so heated about things like this but this has just really gotten to the point of ridiculous. The veiled Tweets need to stop. Brooklyn, if you want to be here, then be here. But if you don’t want to be here, if you want to take your ball and go home, then go and do it. We’re all tired of seeing your bullshit. You know what you do when you disagree with something that happens here? You go and do something about it; not throw a temper tantrum and tell your opponent, AKA me, that you might not even be here come match time.”
He pauses and shakes his head.
Aiden Morrow: ”I’m here at Victory Wrestling to help this place grow, to help make it the place to be in this sport. It’s quite clear from Brooklyn’s viewpoint that all she cares about is herself and her own ego. She doesn’t give a damn bout Victory, if she did, she wouldn’t be trying to tear this place down. To be honest, Brooklyn seems like the type to leave a place once someone has bested her. So after I pin her down to the mat for the three count, do I expect Brooklyn to stick around here in Victory? Honestly, I don’t because she seems like the type to just give up at the first sight of something going wrong.”
“But what about me? What about Aiden Morrow? I think I’ve let my intentions be clear that I’m in it for the long haul. I built myself up in Legacy Wrestling a few months ago and reached the top of the mountain, just to be shot down back to the bottom when the place closed. But here I am again, on my way to the main event at Revolution for the Victory Championship. I’m so close to reaching the place that I’ve been once already that I can taste it. Win or lose, I know this match with Brooklyn doesn’t take me out of my spot for the Victory Championship.”
“That doesn’t change the fact that I want to beat her and look hotter than anyone else heading into that match-up. So far in Victory Wrestling I’m up two wins and zero losses and I still haven’t lost a match in my career as a whole. I don’t plan on letting that record have a blemish on it before I head into a match like that. Nonetheless, I can’t look past Brooklyn. While she has far less experience than me so far, she’s still undefeated here in Victory. I take that seriously despite her piss poor attitude as of late. I’ve studied her two matches up and down since I’ve known that I was booked against her and I can honestly say that I’m ready for her.”
He pauses and sighs while shaking his head.
Aiden Morrow: ”Honestly, I was excited when I first went into this match because I thought that Brooklyn and I were a lot alike but I clearly can see that we’re not. You know Brooklyn, you cry wolf on Twitter so much that when the wolf actually does show up, nobody is going to take you seriously and listen to you. The thing is, does anyone actually take your word seriously anymore? And while your wins here have been impressive, the thing is, you haven’t had to fight someone like me; more specifically, you haven’t had to fight in a singles match yet. You’ve been in multi-person matches, which have given you more of a chance to take advantage of the opposite.”
“In fact, this is the first singles match of your career and it’s against me; somebody who’s never lost, let alone lost a singles match. You can say you’re ready all you want but a one on one encounter is a completely different monster than a chaotic match with multiple people running around. You’re in my territory now where I have the upperhand and advantage. You won’t have time to take a breather against me while two other opponents go at it… This time you’ll be having to fight off a relentless attack from me, one person.”
“There’s no wildcard factors in play for you to be able to pick up the victory against me. You have to pin me and you know what? I don’t think you’re capable of it. Not with the focus and determination that I’m bringing to the table. I don’t have the same distractions that you do, despite the fact that my girlfriend, check that, fiancee, is pregnant with our baby. In fact, that pumps me up even more. It gives me even more reason to go out there and kick your ass and win this match. You might do this wrestling thing for yourself but I do it for much more than that. As much as I love this sport, I do it to provide for my son and now? Now I have even more people counting on me; a future wife and our child that’ll be arriving in nine months.”
He smiles brightly and nods.
Aiden Morrow: ”A man fighting for his family is a force to be reckoned with. So I’m going to raise hell whenever I step through those ropes and it’s going to take everything you’ve got to take someone like me down for the count; even that might not even be enough. Because to be honest, it hasn’t been enough for anyone else so far. Does that make me think that I’m untouchable and unstoppable though? Of course not. I know that eventually someone is going to take me down and beat me. But that day isn’t today. When I step into that ring with Brooklyn tonight, I’m going to give her a gift…”
A smartass grin runs over his face.
Aiden Morrow: ”And that gift is going to be the wrestler’s version of a lump of coal for being naughty this Christmas. You’re going to get a giant L, your first loss in your career, at the hands of me. And by doing that, I’ll be treating myself to a Christmas present, a sweet victory and having the chance to shut you the hell up. Or will I? Because I feel like after you take your first loss, you’re going to cry and cry and cry and guess what? Like I said earlier, no one is going to listen to you anymore.”
He pauses and nods confidently.
Aiden Morrow: ”You know Brooklyn, I hope your attitude changes and that you start seeing Victory for what it is; one of the best and brightest young companies out there. I hope that you decide to give this company and this sport your heart and passion once more and don’t let petty things get in the way because you’ve got to remember that this is wrestling. People will say hateful things, personal things that will hit home. People will attack you for the tough upbringing that you had and when you react, they’ll feed off of it.”
“But your actions have shown me that you’re not only a rookie on the ring, but you’re one psychologically as well. As for me? I know people are going to verbally attack my family to get under my skin and I know that they’ll bring up the troubled things that have happened in my life to get under my skin. But you know what? I don’t let it bother me. It slides right off my back and I don’t need words to prove what I already know… That I’m one of the best damn people to step into that ring. Call it cocky all you want but I call it confidence. I am confident in my abilities because I put in the work and I get the job done. My track record speaks for itself.”
“And come tonight, my track record is going to continue to be as clean as a whistle. I don’t plan on letting you take down my momentum, Brooklyn. I’m going to be the first Victory Champion and there’s not a damn thing you or anyone else can do to stop me. You're going to see that tonight that no matter what... I always come prepared. Do you?”
He nods at the camera before pulling his phone down and hitting the button that stops it from recording.
